Bounties

One thing I kind of miss about Skyrim , something that made being a scoundrel more fun was that when someone caught you some of them would put a bounty out on you and randomly somewhere down the line you would be attacked.
I think the penalties for illegal things in ESO have grown very stale and boring in my opinion, especially when you break into a house and they just stand there "I see you" " I am going to call the guard" then you kill them and loot the place and be gone, pay your fence or use a pardon and move on.
I would love to see where you think you got away and then out of nowhere you get attacked like in Skyrim.
Just a thought.

Some idiots are going to turn this into another friggin PvP justice system thread, I can just see it coming now, it’s inevitable.

Having challenging NPC bounty hunters come after you? I can take it or leave it.

I mean, the idea will never happen, but i cant be the only one being amused by the idea of 30 world boss mobs attacking northern elsweyr main city in search for specific players.

I do see what you mean and have waded through those threads also, though most definitely this is only NPC related.

I know that was your intention, but I can just see the direction where certain people are going to take this thread. Happens all the time with these ideas.

Well the bounty system we have in the game is kinda really meta. Maybe its because of the coding. Here is how it works. You steal something an npc sees you steal that object every guard in Tamriel knows what you did. Bounty triggers the arrest warrant or fine warrant for every single guard in every single zone in the game. So if you stole from citizens in the Ad alliance the guards in ep and dc are also after you for stealing from that citizen in their respective enemy alliances. This is both really not realistic and also to meta how do they know about it. No I think it should be split by the respective alliances. Commit crimes in Ad, Ep and Dc don't care, commit crimes in Ep, AD and Dc don't care. Commit crimes in Dc, Ad and Ep don't care.
Each alliance should have its own bounty system. This is an overhaul I really want to see done with the justice system to make it better then it is. Then of course they could add in bounty hunter encounters that have a 10 percent chance or 5 percent chance of showing up outside of the cities or the alliance territories while your out exploring. I would support this. But first it needs to be overhauled so there is separate crime bounty factions for Ad, Dc Ep and Cyrodiil.

Daggerfall Covenant Bounty- Bounty for Crime in Lands affiliated with High Rock Hammerfall and Orsinium.
Aldmeri Dominion Bounty. Bounty for crimes committed In places Affiliated with Summerset, Valenwood and Elswyer.
Ebonheart Pack Bounty, Bounty for Crimes committed in Lands Affiliated with Morrowind, Blackmarsh and Skyrim.
Cyrodiil should be added and have it own bounty system. For crimes committed against the Citizens of Cyrodiil. Making it so you can kill npcs there rob them and everything could help with lag performance there. But also add more risk as well to players just pvping everywhere. accidentally kill a citizen or heal a criminal within the lands and Guards see you do this Bounty! Just because your in war doesn't mean there isn't those looking to seek justice for your crimes.
