Battlegrounds Event - When?

So we have from time to time in the game events that promote players doing dungeons (Undaunted event), going to Imperial City (IC anniversary event), going to Cyrodiil (MidYear Mayem), going into Malestrom Arena (Orsinium Celebration with double drops).
Will we ever see some event promoting players to go into Battlegrounds with special rewards / event boxes drop?

That event is Midyear Mayhem. It covers ALL of PVP, including Battlegrounds. BGs has Midyear Mayhem achievements and benefits from the double AP and rewards boxes.

What Varanis said. Just look at the achievements for MYM and this becomes clear. There is no reason for a BG specific event.

Yeah. Wasn't the whole reason that MYM was cancelled because the Activity Finder was fubar and BGs depend on it, so they couldn't run it until it was reasonably fixed?

Most of the people during MyM go to Cyrodiil, not to Battlegrounds. I was asking for a Battlegrounds only event.

Even MYM is AWOL right now -- so isn't this discussion getting a bit ahead of ourselves? I seriously doubt ZOS would implement a 2nd PvP event when their track record for supporting PvP players and issues is already so stellar.

It's been assumed because of the items in the crown store sale etc however I don't think any ZOS source has said MYM is on.

They seemed to prioritize the undaunted event instead.

That should tell you all you need to know about why a battle ground exclusive event would be a bad idea.

Yes, the undaunted event worked better than expected but was hardly flawless.
However undaunted event could be done without the finder.
Battlegrounds require it.

Yes we should have more PvP events but an BG only one is an bad idea at this time.
