Soloing Dungeons is Bugged

I decided an efficient way to get boxes for the event is to just solo normal fungal grotto 1 killing only war chief ozazi and kragh, running past everything else. After killing kragh I am of course still stuck in combat so I go to clatterclaw to get him to kill me so I can res out of combat and port out... however I cannot res. My screen says 'waiting for the battle to end...' as though there are other members in my group that are still alive... but there are not. Please fix this. If you are the only member of your group and you die in a dungeon you should be able to res at the start.

    I can't even log out, I have to alt tab and end task for eso/ completely relog just so I can do anything.

    Don't skip and if you do... don't fail and die. Problem solved.

    Nothing wrong with the game here,just your gameplay. Different story if that happens in cyrodiil...but same issue like mentioned above...
    FOR EXAMPLE - > healing or buffing or.... When some1 has aggro from "paul the guard" of alessia... Yay incombat until paul resets and stops glaring at you from 200m distance. Some1 buffed paul again.... Stare intensifies. Nooooooo. ~end of story

    That is not correct. Successfully completing the dungeon does not fix the issue, as you will 100% still be in combat from enemies still alive in the dungeon. I went back after final boss was dead to bloodspawn (which is always supposed to take you out of combat) but instead it basically locked my game (which should never happen).

    Very interesting. Sounds like a meant-to-be-invisible trigger or workaround used by the programmers is not working as intended.

    I solo-tank dungeons (yeah, I know it's awkward but I currently have no other char who can solo dungeons) AND I skip when on a tight schedule, and I ran into this issue for the first time today... though not in FGI but Wayrest Sewers I where I didn't skip anything (or did I? The croc perhaps, but I don't remember).

    Never happened before, but perhaps that 's because I never wiped in one of the easy dungeons before. - Anyway, as I lay there dead I watched Allene's adds run around fighting something I couldn't see, and I thought 'huh? I'm dead, so who are they fighting?'. I briefly suspected my clannfear of having cheated death somehow, but as I said I couldn't see anybody. The mobs were just running around, shouting and hacking at ... whatever, who knows. After about two minutes they had bested their imaginary foe, and I was allowed to rise from the ashes and fight Allene again.


    Interesting... perhaps if I removed my dark shade from skill bar this bug wouldn't happen... though in my case the dungeon was locked for 5+ minutes before I just decided to restart eso

    Can't you just teleport out of it? Skipping isnt intended (pov dev).
    I agree that you should play like you want but if you run into problems because you play in a way thats not intended, they are also your problems and only your own.

    If you want to rpg and abuse the **** out of /s or /y thats also a choice and the game will kick you for spam.
    In this case the npcs are the wrath of devs that hate ppl skipping their work. 😂

    I am also running dungeons solo and after 2-5 grps i will stop and aoe them. Never had these problems..
    only when being lazy and jumping over cliffs, rivers,...

    No, because you cannot port while dead or in combat.

    Also, I tried unslotting the shade and replacing it with cloak and didn't have this issue last run. So my guess is this 'stuck in combat unable to res while dead bug' is somehow tied to familiars maintaining some form of aggro after you die as suggested above.

    There's probably a swarming mudcrab scurrying around trying to catch up to you.
    Taking stealth away from the Bosmer is like taking magic away from the Altmer, making Nords allergic to mead, or making Orcs pretty.

    It's not a bug. Your strategy to bypass the bosses is not working. Go back and kill the bosses and mobs that you aggroed as you zoomed to the end. Those mobs are still looking for you.

    I solo run this dungeon, and never once have I been stuck in there. I don't kill all the bosses, either. I do kill the ones that I aggro.

    For FG1, there are minibosses that are likely still aggro'ed on you. That is what is preventing the rez, though they should all rubberband when you die. It's possible that the NPC goblins are keeping them in combat. That's just a guess.

    When I solo, I pull to each boss, stack on the boss and kill, then move on. I'll do the waterfall skip, kill Kragh and if I've done it right, there should be no combat remaining. If you are still in combat you can run through the back tunnel (that you would use in FG2) and just walk out the front door.

The issue is that when you wipe, they are supposed to reset and allow you to res but instead my game became locked and I had to entirely control-alt-delete and restant eso. Did you even read what I wrote?

    there are goblins in FG1 that the game thinks are part of your group. it can take them a while to get killed off, as they don't skip anything. my personal strategy is to make sure I'm OUT of combat before pulling Kragh. haven't failed me yet. (yes I skip, and yes, when I solo it, its usually on a pet sorc)

    Skipping in FG1 is probably why all the later dungeons are such corridor races rather than open spaces (and all the more boring for it)

    OP seems to want to cheat/skip/game the dungeon to acquire loot more quickly and then wants ZOS to ‘fix it’ when this strategy fails....

    ZOS might argue that the dungeon will work fine if he just kills all the bosses

    if you have pets or any summoned attack that engages away from you this can cause mobs to hold agro if you skip, best thing to do if you want to skip large mobs is die to them and run through whilst in ghost form thereby resetting the agro each time

    Almost sounds like stuck in combat bug that you'll get in cyro. If that is what is happening i feel sorry for you. Good luck

    I use my magplar for soloing stuff, if I am planning to skip anything I always pop an invisibility pot so I don't aggro anything as I run past.

    Dude is literally feeding back that when he dies he cannot resurrect. He’s the only one in the instance so therefore all aggro should drop. The context behind it doesn’t matter. This is legitimately not working as mechanically intended.

    He is not using the dungeon as it was intended, either. In all the times I have soloed, and died, in that dungeon, I can recall no time where I have been stuck unable to leave the dungeon, or unable to resurrect in the dungeon, because I am still in combat. There be a bug there, but he is creating the situation where the bug appears. He is trying to skip combat in the dungeon in order to quickly get to the boss, kill it, and get the reward.

    This dungeon is not so long that one really needs to do that.

    We cannot fix the bugs. If this bug has been in there for years, chances are that ZOS is not going to fix it, either. It seems to be an easy bug to avoid, so I suggest doing that.

    This is a really bad idea, for the reason you have already discovered. Don't do that.

    If you need to port out of the dungeon while still stuck in "combat", a much better option is to queue for Cyrodiil (works at all times, even when in combat) and just use the wayshrine to leave Cyrodiil as soon as you are transported there.
