Ping Improvement for Oceanic Players

Cymotrichous
I know for the fact that there will be no Oceanic/Southeast server happening.

And the game is "almost" playable at around ~250 ping for us. Are we going to endure this for long? Aren't we going to experience sub ~100 or ~150 ping like most of the people that live close to the server? Like there is really something you feel when you play an online game you like with an acceptable ping.

With the newest expansion is about to get released, and new people (from Southeast/Southeast Asia that played and loved TES: Skyrim) may or might pick up TESO only to get disappointed with the ping.

You now have your Activity Finder working as it was intended. I know there is a lot more important thing to discuss/address.
BUT can we possibly hope or expect some ping improvements for us (players over Oceanic/Southeast part of the world) sooner or in the future maybe?

It's better now than it was a month or so ago. At least for me. 260-300 without a VPN at the moment

Activist finder isn't working as intended again. Sorry to burst your bubble.

We are now being routed through Akamai in Sydney, which is vastly better than being routed through China, where we were being directed for the previous year long debacle.

For those of us in New Zealand, this does mean an extra 20-30ms ping on top of Akamai's internal latencies.

    It is inefficient routing.

The extra ping is not unplayable, but it is noticable and detrimental to play.

Don't expect it to change any time soon. This is the new normal for us.
