Off topic, but it's really driving me crazy that AD is red and EP is yellow on the poll.

I can't pick one, it depends on my character.

I have one character I would switch alliance on, Stephen of Canada. He spends most of his time with the Daggerfall Covenant, but when I created him I made him Ebonheart Pact. Because he spends most of his time with DC, I'd change his alliance.

The only other one would be my Imperial, but he should be IMPERIAL, not aligned with ANY of the alliances. Unfortunately, he doesn't have that option.

I wouldn't. My one non-AD character is a dark elf who rides a guar and is loyal to Morrowind. If that means exclusion from Bakhlodaan, so be it.

Changing it will unballance gameplay to "the stronest side" Factions would die like in many mmos so nope .. wouldn't change

However making an alt for pvp only with other alliance is quite easy .. so don't care ...

I have 18 characters spread across all alliances and I would not change ANY of them. However, I have the most characters in my chosen alliance for PVP. I would never have the time to play all 18 in one anyway so I don't see faction locks as a big deal at all. I can't even play all the characters in one alliance every campaign for heavens sake.

I feel dirty for saying it, but I'd switch over to either DC or EP.

I kinda regret choosing AD for most of my characters. One can barely get anything done in pvp with AD. I'm not sure if it's just the type of player that AD attracts or what, but it seems AD is always getting farmed hard by the other two factions.

AD also has some of the worst geographical/strategical positioning in Cyrodill, especially in the Imperial City Sewers. AD cannot reach Bruma quickly/easily most of the time, and rare scamp spawns in the sewers have been bugged for years exclusively inside AD's branch, which puts them at a disadvantage if you want to farm those things. Not to mention that Dailies for the nearest town to AD (Vlastarus) have far more legwork than any of the other towns' closer to DC and EP do. Vlast dailies also take you deep into enemy territory. Furthermore, Vlast's Death to the Crone daily is plagued by an absurd boss re-spawn timer of approximately 10-15m between kills. DC and EP both have comparatively closer towns AND Bruma they can easily access to farm dailies/gear.

Nothing in me wants to leave AD. Most of my favorite people run AD, and I can't get behind some of the groups on the other two factions, mostly on a non personal level, but a few humans on DC I would prefer to not even be near if at all possible, which means I for sure don't want to be on the same team as them.

Honestly I think its more like the type of people the other two factions attract. Especially EP. Races and racial passives probably have something to do with it as well.

AD is the only faction without a human race to choose, where as DC has two human races and EP has one, and a lot of people I've found just have a bias against playing beast or mer races.

Redguards, Orcs, Nords, Argonians, and Dunmer seem to have a lot more of an edge in PvP even if the person doesn't necessarily know what they're doing because of racials and stats, whereas I know from experience Bosmer seem to need more finesse to properly compete and I wouldn't be surprised if Khajiit and Altmer are the same.

Not to mention Bosmer got hit hard with racial changes, and if I recall I think they started trying to make Altmer more "versatile" with being able to run stamina builds instead of just being prone to magicka builds, someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but AD seems to get the short end of the stick by design especially when it comes to PvP.

Anyway... yeah Team Purple is definitely a thing, at least on PC NA. Occasionally it shifts during a Scroll rush or because of population differences but its rare for me to not see Team Purple at play tag-teaming AD lol

Before I started Pvping I made characters in the other alliances to see the story when I started there as opposed to Silver or Gold. However, I just can’t PvP for any alliance other than DC. It’s just too embarrassing when I ride to the High Rock gates to leave.

I made my necros evil (therefore EP) and 6 months later I got invited to a pvp guild that only plays DC. For that reason I’d like to switch.

no, I would stay AD, though some of my favorite zones are in DC, and to a lesser extent EP.

but ever since ESO and its factions were explained AD was the only one the made sense lore wise, the dominion alliance is legit now and works into the future.

DC was questionable considering the orc inclusion given their fractious history with Bretons and redguards, and lore wise falls apart literally right after the three banner war ends, it does not even last a lifetime.

EP on the other hand was just ridiculous, all those factions hate each other and fight historically and into the future, anyone who knows anything about TES lore was like "WTF?!" when that was shown as a faction.

but with that all said, I love the Khajiit and Elsweyr, their so chill and I find fantasy deserts very calming, they also invented sweets and drugs, play lip service and lie as a cultural trait, had a thief so good he ascended to god hood (take that tiber septim) and of all the races would be the most content with just leaving everyone to their own devices and receding to just chill by themselves.

The main reason why zos put orcs in the covenant is because orscinium allied with wayrest in daggerfall. So bretons and orc have still allied with each other even outside of eso. Orsinium joined the covenant because the current orsinium was made when emeric made a deal with a bunch of orc mercenaries to give th orcs land and help them rebuild orsinium if they llied with the covenant

My first character is in AD and that's only 'cos I didn't have the any alliance thing, so I'd like to leave AD for either EP (majority of my characters are EP), or DC which seems far more chill and relaxed.

Other than where you go to talk to the Prophet, I'm not really sure what the differences in alliance are.

None, I deleted all non EP toons thanks to faction lock. I no longer have a reason for alliance changing
