Black. Eyepatch.

I was unbelievably disappointed to find that the new eyepatch is not black for all characters like it was in the preview image in the crown store and showcase. If it was going to change colors, that should have been specified instead of the false advertising getting our hopes up. It's white on most of my characters. I don't want them looking like they've got a bandage on. I was looking for a proper black patch. When are we getting one?

As an adornment, it suffers from being linked to hair color. Many of us have been asking for a change to that for a long time. It will definitely hurt sales, maybe they'll give the matter some consideration finally.

They're not in a dyeable slot like hat or outfit.

My character has black hair, the base game eyepatch is black because of it, I made sure of that. This one is not black.

I have an extra appearance/race token. Going through all the hair color options and none of them turn the eyepatch black.

I requested a refund.

the strap is brown, the patch itself is black in the advertisement.

I have long been aggrieved that certain adornments and jewelry change colour between silver and bronze based on hair colour - sometimes I get an adornment that I want for a character and then find it does not look the same colour as it did in the picture advertising it to me once slotted. This is not good.

I'd been really excited to have a decent eyepatch for Argonians, but my red-horned Argonian, who gets gold colored stuff on all the other adornments, came out with this off-white nonsense, and I'm peeved.

If they come in multiple colours, we should be allowed to choose which variety for free at a dye/outfit station

There could simply be an adornment tab on the dye menu, which allows you to pick which of the available colours (black or brown, bronze or silver etc) you want for the currently equipped adornments on that character.

Seriously the colors of adornments being determined by hair color is ridiculous. Can we please get an option to choose which color we want? We should be able to select the color at an outfit station just like anything else we wear.

Yeah, I always found it strange. The eyepatch color doesn't bother me that much since my chars are either dark haired or grey haired so it looks rather ok, but I understand the complaint.

The default eye patch which is included in the accessories bundle on the crown store also changes with hair colour, but is always some shade of brown. The lightest is a tan colour and the darkest is almost black.

Here's some examples, these are all done in the character creator using an altmer (because that's the last race I checked) but the colours are the same for all races:


Only downside is argonians can't wear it for some reason.

Yeah in my pic the third on the right shows the darkest hair selected and the patch is gray.

I can confirm that it isn't black for Khajiit males with black hair either.

Regardless of it saying or not saying the problem we're having here is that there's no way to get it the same color as shown in the showcase's actual picture of said item. The picture shows a very dark brown/black patch with a brown strap, which is not what we're being given.

Where in the ad did it say that? It said it on the picture which is worth 1000 words, 500 in this case apparently. I posted prof that no Matter how dark the hair color, it will not turn this patch the advertised shade. How do we get what was advertised? Let me know.

Can we get a comment on that ZOS staff? It would be really nice if this could be fixed in some way, and I think the thread has been open long enough to guarantee some response, even if it's going to be just "deal with it".

I’ve sent in-game feedback about the item as well to no response, which is what my friend who was also dissatisfied with the item was advised to do in response to the first ticket they sent about it.

It’s also pale-gray on my black-haired Dunmer woman, so I’m flummoxed and frustrated. If you’re advertising a cosmetic item to look a specific way (especially with images provided of it looking that way), it had bloody well look that way, or that’s straight up false advertising.
