Counterplay to Roll Dodge Spam

Would be nice if we can bring back some skills that went through roll dodge. Such as the old force pulse, or make a morph of it that goes through roll dodge since nobody wants to use cleave force pulse. Since we took out many ways to effectively defile the healing and tank meta, people who are at near death experience generally roll dodge spam to passively heal up.

I wish you could direct people into strategically roll dodging to outplay another rather than just spamming it and still surviving. Like I'm on a magsorc and i can just roll dodge 3 times and not get punished for it because i still have stamina to break free and roll again. Everyone is starting to take advantage of the roll dodge because it's passively affordable without working to strategically make it useful. I know strategy is one ugly word for ZOS to hear, but taking away competition and trying to pull the Skyrim card wont save the game.

    could use the battle spirit system to increase cost inside Cyrodiil/BG's that way leaving it untouched for PvE

    You are playing a magicka sorcerer and complaining about roll dodge? :D:D

    It is the only reliable defense for stamina builds against magsorc while you can control the flow of the battle with constant burst and repositioning. You have multiple shields, strongest burst heal in the game and as well good HoTs, letting you facetank most damage. Stamina builds without class healing options have only Rally and Vigor, which are weaker than your defense options. Dodge is the primary counter towards you as an intentional mechanics.

    There are some undodgeable skills in your arsenal including curse, so long as you can outplay your opponent the fight is yours to win.

    On my stamblade, every single one of my skills is dodgeable, yet I can guarantee you spamming dodge against me guarantees my win as when you need to dodge the most, you wouldn't have any stamina.

    Already exists. IIRC it's a stacking 50% increase that lasts a few seconds.

    There is a cost increase and has been for several years. Works well. There is a visual for this debuff around the feed.

    What strategy? Someone low health spamming roll dodge as opposed to someone low health spamming burst heal and/or shields and/or holding block? It's not like you or anyone else - the attacker - does anything else but spam their executes or spammables when someone is low health either so why are you bring out dodge roll as the less strategic one?

    The vampire stun is a hard counter do dodge(and probably not the only one).

    Fire rune from mages guild. => Bound rune: Places a magic rune on your enemy that gets stunned for 3 sec when he tries to rolldodge. Also deals x damage over time as long as active on player.

    Lightning staff or restoration staff heavies.

    Scamp aoe (though this is an entirely unreliable option).

    Soul assault or meteor. Between the two I'd go meteor.

    Ring of magic (morph you pick the area of).

    Vampire drain.

    Haunting curse.

    Streak.

    In addition, if your opponent is spamming dog roll, they're giving up half their gcd and (likely) rolling away from you right? If they're bopping around your side over and over, one streak or vamp drain leaves them in 2013 with the Tebow. Haunting curse, count to five, stun with meteor or streak/drain and start whacking. If they try to run, follow up with ring of whatever element you have (fire will put a dot on them).

    Lol I love the rolldodge spammers. It just bring a smile to my face when they are in execute range and start rolldodging to my jesus beam. Classic!
