I am at about 50%. It is a good thing that ZOS recently made the design choice that dungeon motifs will be earned by just fighting and exploring the Dungeon. For recent dungeons that is. The old ones still have the system in place that you earn motifs from the final boss

Where did they decide that new dungeon motifs would be received from exploring the dungeons? Meridian and Coldsnap Goblin still require beating the final boss, and the Scalebreaker motifs aren't out yet.

The only one i am missing is Militant Ordinator. Since i don't do PvP, not much opportunity to get this one.

Can you expand on that? I thought all dungeon motifs were a guaranteed drop on final boss in Veteran hard mode and a rare drop on final boss in all other modes.

I know, but the last time i shopped for the motif, it was going to cost me 300K for the chapters. I have limits on my completionism....

I might shop again, but until they get to the 5k a chapter threshold, no sale.

Back when I had a more active social guild I negotiated the pages with fellow guildies who did a lot of PvP. Wasn't too much trouble.

Honestly, I always have more trouble with the dungeon ones and those feel worse now that $enimax has changed how they monetize it. The staggered release is very annoying and ruined the style system tagging too. They are generally more trouble than they are worth especially since there are so many styles now.

I just checked, chapters are 30k to 100k...

I used to make a set of gear in each new motif as i got it. Then i started doing outfits when that system came out. But probably the last 20 or 30 motifs i have not bothered to make.

I don't think ZOS changed it. I think that whoever is maintaining the motif list on ESO Fashion just got lazy. Later motifs don't say "defeat final boss" but rather just list the name of the dungeon.

Isn't the Moongrave Fane motif out? That's from Scalebreaker, correct? And Stags of Z'en (sp?) will be out this month.

Also, OP - thanks for posting these lists. You will note, however, that the UESP site isn't up-to-date. It only lists motifs through Elsweyr, and doesn't include the Wrathstone or Dragonhold motifs. ETA: Or Moongrave Fane, for that matter.

Militant Ordinator is one of those motifs that probably won't drop much in price, since for most of the year the only source to buy it is with X amount of AP. And if there's competition and prices starts to drop a bit, most will simple use another item to convert AP to gold.

IIRC, it does drop during the anniversary event (might be another one), which is the cheapest source for a non PvP player even if the RNG for it is pretty bad. But you might also find it cheaper than usual at traders.

Read chances are higher on vet, read 100% for HM, 50% on vet and 10% on normal.
Some newer dungeons give some achievement reward just for entering.

Right, Moongrave Fane is out! I think I forgot because its the one ZOS broke the drop rate on. Looks like that's also a "kill the final boss" Grundwulf type of motif.

it does not seem that great if you're on PC since you're basically paying a subscription for redundancy, but I could see how this would be useful to a console player.

Go to your motif list in collections and highlight the motifs from Wrathstone dungeons and it says: Acquired by venturing into (dungeon name) after a certain date

don't know why it wouldn't just say from the final boss

Whelp, that's clearly not how the Wrathstone dungeon motifs actually work. Nor Moongrave Fane.
So I suspect the tooltip is imprecise or just wasn't updated, particularly if they don't list the actual date when those motifs we're released.
