Stamplar strugling with DPS - help needed :)

Hi there folks,
currently I am trying to level up stamina templar (redguard). I have advanced to CP 600, but suddenly I am struggling with DPS output.
I am playing PvE, mostly solo content, but I am putting out realy low numbers in DPS parses -- 25-30K.

My build is as follows > 6 medium + 1 heavy

5x Briarheart - > 3x purple jewelry (robust with weapon damage and 1x stamina regen), 2x purple medium body piece (boots and bracers - both divines with stamina enchant)
5x New Moon Accolyte -> 3x purple body piece (heavy chest infused with health enchant for undaunted passive, 2x medium witrch stam enchant), 2x weapon (purple/gold daggers (nirn+sharpenned) with stam regain enchant, infused bow with increase damage enchant.
Skoria/Iceheart/Selene monster set -> purple with stamina enchant, using depending on situation, mostly Iceheart or Skoria for soloing

Front bar - DW daggers
- Power of the light
- Shrouded daggers - major brut + interrupt
- Jabbs - spammable
- Repentance
- Steel Tornado/ BloodCraze

ULT> Flawless dawnbreaker

Backbar - Bow
- Endless Hail -- to proc weap.damage enchant
- Ritual of retribution -- AoE damage+heal
- Restoring Focus
- Bear trap
- Camouflaged Hunter -- weapon crit

ULT> Empowering sweep -- to get the passive bonus from Aedric spear

Rotation is easy, mostly static >
Power of the light -> Barswap -> Bear trap -> LA -> EndlessHail -> LA -> Ritual of retrib -> LA -> RestoringFocus -> Barswap -> Shrouded daggers -> LA -> Power of the light -> 5x LA+Jabbs -> Barswap -> ...

mainly keeping up Power of the light + backbar (beartrap as needed, endless+ritual of retrib+ rest.focus) , then barswap -> LA + daggers(optional) till power of the light runs out, then reapply power of the light and jabbs + LA till it runs out, reaply Potl and barswap...

With this rotation + restoring focus + repentance (if aplicable) I have no issues with sustain (mostly) -- using blue food or purple dubious camoran if I feel sustain issues.

The main question is if it is all about the "LEARN TO PLAY" or am I wrong with the build.

Thanks for all the replies :)

So here is my stamplar, hits 75k (on raid dummy ofc)even with my bad rotation ~
Lokkestiiz's/Relequen's on body, all medium and all max stamina. (Rele for solo target fights, Lokke for group content with synergies)
Deadly strike on weapons (nirnhorned ans sharpend) + neck and rings 1 bloodthirsty and 2 infused all with weapon damage.
(your sets work fine too, but rele adds a lot of dps on dummy)
    Damage health poison IX
Selene's monster set all medium divines
    Maelstorm's bow in infused.

front bar: ring of preservation -> barbed trap -> lower of the light -> jabs ->camouflaged hunter -> dawnbreaker
back bar: endless hail -> ritual of retribution -> restoring focus -> ring of preservation ->camouflaged hunter ->ballista

    rotation:
Open with: hail -> trap -> ritual -> resto focus -> power of the light

thren basically: hail -> ritual -> reapply trap/power of the light when needed and rest of time spam jabs unstill you need to reapply front bar again.

Drink weapon power potions, drink weapon power potions, drink weapon power potions!

Gold out your weapons, gold out your weapons, gold out your weapons!

Wear 7 pieces medium, wear 7 pieces medium, wear 7 pieces medium!

Use arrow barrage because you dont have maelstrom bow. You aren't good enough for endless hail yet.

Then use ritual of retribution, then swap into a barbed trap, power of the light and 7-9 jabs with reapplying trap and potl when they run out.

Make sure to light attack like a madman.

Do this to achieve more dps.

Buy or craft weapon power pots, then drink them.

Thanks for all the answers. Golding the weapons is in progress, but will take few hours of play ;)
I will try to change the rotation first, then I will try maelstrom for bow farming :)
Releaueen or vicious ophidian would be great, but my dps is right now too low for trial runs ( as I was told )...

Regarding parses, I have done some on PTS today, and I have seen that with right equipment I can do 55-60 K on raid dummy.

    Thanks again a lot.

You can run open pug normal trial in Crag. to get VO/AY/Rele/Lokki. Deadly is PVP gear... Don't let anything stop you

Taemiru's bar setup is is the same as I use. it works well...

Hey guys... So I have a question if you don't mind. When your doing your jabs are you hitting light attach once between each jab or multiple times or are you doing multiple LA's in a different spot during rotation. I hit LA once between each skill of course but not sure if you want to slow the number of jabs by doing multi LA's during them.

Also how important is it to finish 7-9 jabs before you reapply Endless Hail?

    Thanks.....

LA between everything. Don't LA AFTER you barswap BEFORE hail.

    LA>BS>Hail>LA>....

    Also use Action Duration Reminder

    I use this build:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LIlr-eZB0wI

Front bar: PotL, jabs, 3 FG skills including camo hunter/trap (for AoE I'll replace on FG skill with Whirling Blades), flawless dawnbreaker ulti
Back bar: endless hail, ritual of retribution, 3 FG skills, sweep ulti

Lokke + rele + vMA bow + velidreth; for dungeons I'll use VO +Twice-Fanged Serpent. Same enchants/traits/poisons as the build I linked above uses.

    Rotation is dead easy:
Trap -> hail -> ritual of retribution -> swap
    Jabs -> PotL -> jabs x5 -> PotL -> jabs x5 ->swap
    Repeat

It doesn't actually parse super high on the 3/6 mil but it's absolutely silly how strong she is in dungeons and trials. Things just melt, and basically all I have to do is poke them. What seems to be key is get as many jabs in as humanly possible + load up on FG skills for the weapon damage increase.

A few suggestions for you: 1. Don't use PotL at the start of your rotation- since hail takes two seconds to land and trap takes a bit to arm, it won't do much damage. I don't hit PotL for the first time until hail, trap, and ritual are all up and running; 2. Drop shrouded daggers and aim to hit the PotL -> jabs x5 combo twice in between casts of hail/ritual/trap; 3. gold out your weapons asap; 4. use Damage health IX (Fleshfly Larvae + Nirnroot + Nightshade) on your front bar.

Absolutely all credit goes to the player who came up with this build. You are brilliant, sir.

Without trial gear I can hit 72k on a trial dummy. Leviathan + deadly strikes + Selenes.

    Rotation:

Hail - ritual of retibution - posion injection - restoring focus OR empowering sweep

(alternate between the two every rotation or just empowering sweep if you dont need the sustain)
    swap
    Jabs - potl - rendering slashes - jabs x3 - potl - trap
    swap
    PC / NA @MellowMagic
Imperial named with some sort of variation of "Deo"
    By the Divines...

Why would you run Hail at all, with or without the bow, unless you can't sustain?

Arrow Barrage theoretically outparses Endless Hail by a hair with the Maelstrom bow and by almost 250 dps without it: 2506.5 vs. 2494.1 theoretical dps with the bow, 1723.5 vs. 1482 without it, on my setup. It also has a larger radius (7 vs. 5 m.) and more convenient duration (10 seconds effective vs. 14) for rotations. Its only downside is that it costs more over time, since it is the same base cost but needs to be recast more often. As long as you can sustain it, though, Barrage is better than Hail.

Here are the numbers in my setup:

Base damage for me on Endless Hail is 1596. Base damage on Arrow Barrage is 1915.

Keeping in mind that Endless Hail has 13 effective ticks and takes 14 total seconds from cast to finish, while Arrow Barrage has 9 effective ticks and takes 10 total seconds from cast to finish, I found these numbers:

Without the vMA bow, a full cast of Endless Hail does 20748 damage, for 1482 dps, while Arrow Barrage does 17235, for 1723.5 dps. Barrage outparses Hail by 241-242 dps, depending on rounding.

Thunderous Volley's ticks add 14170 total damage, or 1180.83 dps, for a full cast of Hail, but only 7830, or 978.75 dps, for Barrage. The total damage with vMA bow is therefore 34918, or 2494.14 dps, for Hail, and 25065, or 2506.5 dps, for Barrage. With the vMA bow, then, Barrage outparses Hail only by 12 dps.

The least common multiple of 10 and 14 is 70. In a 70-second cycle, assuming a perfect rotation, we can cast Hail 5 times and Barrage 7 times. That's 65 ticks of damage for Hail and 63 for Barrage. I don't see the extra two ticks per 70 seconds as providing much of an opportunity for critical damage to make Hail the indisputable favorite given its drawbacks in terms of radius and rotation.

Poor sustain would be the only real reason to run Hail. The base cost for both morphs is 2808, resulting in a cost of 201 stam per second with Hail and 280.8 for Barrage, with the difference narrowing proportionally with any stam reduction costs. For example, on my Imperial stamplar (with maxed Restoring Spirit, Ranger, Wind Walker, and Red Diamond) I have a cost of 1910, so 136.4 stam/sec for Hail and 191 stam/sec for Barrage. As long as I can keep up with the extra 54.6 stam regen cost, Barrage is the better option due to its comparable dps, wider radius, and 10-second effective duration, which does not necessitate a dynamic rotation as Hail would.

Longer duration = fewer recasts = more jabs = higher DPS, at least for me. I don't run Poison Injection on my stamplar, so the master's bow is useless anyway.

Everyone has good notes above. Specifics to your setup:

Front bar - DW daggers best you can have if you don't do bash weaving
    - Power of the light always
    - Shrouded daggers - major brut + interrupt Can use casual stuff, but for anything real challenging potions will cover this
    - Jabbs - spammable Always
    - Repentance I slot it back bar for content like arenas or trash; put a fighters guild skill here instead
    - Steel Tornado/ BloodCraze don't need tornade with Jabs; Craze is an ok HoT for stams lacking healing with no healer in group. But as stamplar you already have ritual and can pop down a front-barred ring of preservation for more HoT

    ULT> Flawless dawnbreaker

    Backbar - Bow
    - Endless Hail -- to proc weap.damage enchant always
    - Ritual of retribution -- AoE damage+heal always
    - Restoring Focus if needed it's a great flex skill to use in content
    - Bear trap always, but better off on front bar due to passives
    - Camouflaged Hunter -- weapon crit always, but very important to be on front bar, can be on both if you don't need the other sustain/defense skills for the content

ULT> Empowering sweep -- to get the passive bonus from Aedric spear
