    1. They open new campaigns during the event, plenty to choose from
    2. You don't want to even be near either of the current locked campaigns for this event unless you like insane lag

Why? The non-locked additional campaigns will actually be busy, while the locked ones are going to have extremely lengthy queues.

Use the additional campaigns that will be opened and there is always the 30 day unlocked. Why would Zos unlock a campaign just for an event?

Just have a lot of alts I haven’t been able to run since my main is of a different alliance. Seeing as the new standard flopped, I wasn’t entirely sure how fluctuated the populations would be. Figured I’d throw the question out there though because kaal is always busy and a guaranteed hot spot.

The same reason they bring back old campaigns in the first place, because it’s an event.

ZOS will add a few more campaigns and they no doubt will be full of "tourist" hunters lol

During Midyear Mayhem, enough players flood the campaigns that the second campaign (like Shor) pretty much becomes the equivalent of the main campaign, while the main campaign gets huge queues.

For me, Vivec would become unplayable due to lag before noon. So I always went to Shor and had a grand time with huge battles.

I see, I wasn’t big on pvp or high enough cp to really enjoy the event last time it hit so I wasn’t sure how fluctuated the populations would be. Seems my alts may get to see a bit of action after all :)

They probably won't lock the added event campaigns anyway.
Unlocking current campaigns in progress would really bork scoring even more than just the event will anyway.

There will be plenty of chances for emp swapping on the extra campaigns that are added for the event.

It's doesn't really matter. The servers will explode under the stress anyway.

There's already a 30 day campaign where you can alliance swap, and they will probably add at least additional one once the event goes live.

    Yes.
As long as there is some way for all my characters (of various races and alliances) to get involved I’ll be happy.

I’d much rather I could choose which alliance all my characters belonged to so I could play all of them with my guildies. But that’s not an option...

Hopefully the servers and group finder can actually cope....

I have characters in all Alliances. My PvP alliance is EP, so I run them on the locked non-CP campaign, which is where my PvP guild homes.

Then for AD, I run the locked CP campaign if I feel like it.

And last, I run my lone DC character in the unlocked campaign.

    Works like a charm.

Alternatively, if I really wanted to, I could run all of them in the non-locked campaign instead.

How many alliances are you in?

No. Faction locked is full during prime time anyway. Any extras should use the other campaign.

Just 2, I’ll definitely have to try that though. I typically spend most of my time in kaal, so I’ll probably lock that to AD. And then save non-cp for my DC.

The only downside to non-cp on Xbox (where I main) is it’s pretty dead. Don’t think I’ve ever seen a full bar for any alliance.

I’ll probably venture into standard again, it’s usually dominated by blue tho so, at least I’d have some home keep advantages, heh :)
