Missing out in events and military deployments

For reasons involving security i can only divulge so much information. But this year i will deploying outside of the US per military duty/orders for an extended period of time. I have raised this question before on the ESO IG account but didn't really get a straight answer. I obviously can not take my xbox with me; not that there would be internet to connect to anyways, to log into and collect daily rewards and participate in the community events like undaunted, midyear mayhem, new life fest, witches’ fest, etc and the monthly crown store additions/limited time offers. My question is for the dev team directly, is there a way for military who through no fault of their own might be able to enjoy the rewards from the events and monthly crown store offers after their deployments are over, without having to wait till the following year for the slight possibility of what they missed out on might be offered again.

i doubt very much this will ever happen, a player is a player regardless of what they do outside the game

When we go off to fight in a different world, the world we leave behind still spins. Our kids still get taken care of, bills still need to be paid, and we have our orders we have to take care of. As much as we'd love to minimize the rotation of the spin, we just possibly cant. Trust me on that. Been there, done that. Twice...

When they tell you that you'll be gone 6 months, plan on 9. When they say one year, plan on 15 months.

One last thing; don't forget to tell every family member that you love them, before leaving.

I doubt they would do anything.

There are many people who have RL events which stop them logging in for rewards or events. MMO incentives like this are just not designed to work with such life events.

I say this respectfully, but how is that different from the random person juggling life's bills and probably children and families as well as jobs who perhaps have to miss months at a time due to trying to stay afloat?

I respect the military, but you sign on knowing what is involved. You are not drafted, you are not forced to join. "No fault of your own" does not apply. I am indeed sorry that you are not able to get the pay and education, pension, housing and other benefits as well as special treatment while staying on base and playing Xbox but a job is a job.

Now if you paid for six months of Plus, and you will be gone for five of those months then absolutely I would hope that they could put a hold on your time so that it is not wasted.

Members of the military are deployed all the time, neither you nor your current situation are unique. In the nearly 6 years I’ve been playing ESO I’ve had over a dozen US guildmates deployed/redeployed to foreign combat zones, and several guild-mates living outside the US leave the game for a time to perform compulsory or voluntary military service for their country (remember this is an international player base). It’s part of life.

Being deployed means you will miss out on things happening back home. It just does. Your local theatre won’t bring back a movie released while you were gone just because you were denied the opportunity to see it on the big screen while you were deployed. Your favorite band won’t hold a special show in your home town to make up for the fact that you missed their tour on deployment, and games you play won’t retroactively send you a year of event loot because you couldn’t play the game.

And there is a possibility you can bring your Xbox, or have it shipped to you. Many people are able to game on consoles and laptops while deployed.

What server and platform are you on traveller?

Perhaps some guildies could save you some of the rewards if they have spare?

That doesn't help with the indriks but might help with style pages, runeboxes, recipes and the like?

As former Navy, it's just one of those things you miss out on man. I missed out on a lot of SWTORs release due to leaving for the Navy.

It would be nice if they could put a freeze on your ESO+ time but don't know how or what they would require about military deployment.

I'm going to ask this: Would people also be cool with civilians who spend months away from home getting the same treatment as requested here? Say, oil rig workers?

Instead of worrying about ESO rewards, it might be better to worry about your risky choice of employment and who exactly you benefit by fighting their wars for them.

Have you considered asking your spouse to take care of your ESO while you are away?

    Ugh....this same "war machine" nonsense.

Most of the military stuff I ever did was straight humanitarian work yet people only see the necessary evil that comes with US being the strongest military on the planet.

Could go on all day about how I wish US would only actually put 2% to NATO (Save hundreds of billions of US taxpayer money) and pull all military service home but the reprcussions would be detrimental.
