No offense meant to the artist who did the bust ... and I'm sure the likeness is supossed to be a younger Abnur ... and the texture isn't as bad as Khunzar-ri's sarcophagus for example ... but still, that bust is busted af.
A nice explanation, but it's not really a good likeness tbh. The facial features of the bust don't really resemble Abnur much, apart from the hair where some effort has been made. Plus, I don't think that 'Overlord and Nibenay, Grand Chancellor of the Elder Council, and battle-mage extraordinaire' would approve of having such a low-rez commemoration of himself...I think it's the photogenic version of Abnur. The artist was probably scared of the scathing remark Abnur would make if he looked bad.Yeah... this may be mean, but the resemblance is uncanny:trackdemon5512 wrote: »For 1400 crowns the textures and muddiness of the bust is unacceptable. I didn't know about his Legends depiction, that's cool! I could maybe see the face-shape being related to that. The bust feels like a blend of in-game model and artistic license. The Legends card art goes with a slight inverted egg shape to the head, which the bust plays up. Probably to make him look more heroic.
The cinematic feels like they scanned Alfred Molina's face and then incorporated Abnur's features. Which I can appreciate. But it deviates substantially from the game model in doing so, particularly in his hair.

Its eyes glow blue when it's talking.

For those of you wondering about the bust, this gives a better idea of what it's like:
Old Hollywood rule:
A person isn't dead until you've absolutely seen the corpse!

I think the voice acting is well done. Real condescending attitude there.
Doubt if I will buy one though. More than once during the Main Quest and Elysweyr quests I was tempted to use the Blade of Woe on Abnur after some of the things he said and did.
