The missing element which is needed to improve ESO

In my opinion, I think ESO is a great theme park MMORPG. However every activity in ESO is too linear, I think that game need more unpredictable activity, a random sand box element which will make our adventure become more exciting. Dragon is good start, but I wish that ZOS will add more sand box activity in the future

Uh... yes or no? Maybe it's just me, but I have no idea what you're even really asking. I think you should clarify these options and at least add an 'other', so people actually know what they're voting for and don't just plainly have to agree or disagree.

I think they should mix pvp and pve more. Like a trial with 2 or 3 teams that compete to complete the same trial in the same zone with random level design elements.

Or the other day I was thinking about some kind of desert that seem infinite where you are totally lost, alone or in a team of 4, with a lot of random elements, encounters...

I confess I don't quite get the appeal. With the dolmens and geysers, once I get close enough I can clearly see when one is up, decide to do it, and go straight there.

With the dragons, I'm sitting there watching my map because I certainly can't tell the dragon's path from just watching it, waiting for it to pick a spot to land, then rushing there, hoping I'll either get there before everyone kills it or that there will be enough people there that killing it doesn't take forever. The dragons themselves are interesting (kinda, in a very TES V sort of way), but the process of going "you know, I'd like to hunt a dragon" is much more annoying than previous zone events like dolmens or geysers.

One thing I really appreciated about the geysers was how well they scaled from 1 player to a whole bunch of players with additional mobs and harder bosses. Its an improvement over dolmens and better than the one-size-fits-all dragons.

It depends what is meant by "sandbox element". Too often it is assumed that sandbox games relate solely to PvP, and we have more than enough of that already in ESO. If you mean simply more random NPC encounters then I'm all in favour.

This is the element that is needed. What OP suggests pales is a major way comparted to decent server performance.

There's a lot of randomness already in the game. Random crashes. Random blue screens. Random glitches and desyncs that make it hard to complete some content. Take away all that stupid randomness and give me a stable game and I'll be happy, even if it has predictable gameplay.

Maybe employ people to actually deal with in game tickets/reports ? Had one sitting now for awhile. Year ago didn’t have this problem.

This MMO and questing is sandbox. Start where you want and go where you want. Start at the end if ya like and work backwards. Total freedom. Or are you saying this game should get more sandbox? If so, how do you mean?

Wtf do you mean, more than enough pvp? What is “enough”. Judging by your post I can infer that no pvp is enough for you.

I don’t complain and say there’s enough pve in the game because I think it’s potato work do I?

Sandbox games may or may not be associated with pvp, (again you say “too often” like you have some mysterious data we dont) because by definition SANDBOX means they give you the tools to play how you want.

I know this might come as a shock to you, however a lot of people like to pvp. Hence a lot of sandbox games are full of it, because a lot of time in theme park games(such as this) you are limited in pvp. I can ONLY pvp in cyro, imp city, and bg’s.

I for one would love more open world pvp. Pvp everywhere. Even if you had to toggle it on so carebears didn’t quit in droves.

I would agree but like all MMO's even sandbox ones eventually all possibilities and mechanics will be figured out and an optimal method of doing whatever it is will be established.

I do feel that ESO need something new or interesting. I love the game and the stories, dungeons etc. but for a while now have been starting to feel a little indifferent to the new content as it's more of the same.

ESO is a railed themepark. Technically you can go where you want and do stuff in any order you like but you will end up always walking in in the middle of a ride and end up with a story that does not make much sense at all. I guess you can call that a sandbox but then it is such a miserably put together sandbox.

As a result of what I mention above I don't see how more sandbox elements can help. The game was desinged as a themepark and should have stayed as a themepark. You'll need a large scale re-design to make ESO closer to a decent sandbox. As it is, we have a weird railed-but-not-really themepark with confusing and bolted on sandbox elements.

There is plenty of random events like that in ESO. Like merchant caravan being ambushed or some mage failing to perform his ritual and calling some daedras etc. You can decide wheter You want to aid someone or leave the scene. Problem is because overland content low dofficulty those random encounters have one of the easiest enemies to slay plus usualy there is barely any if any reward for completing it so it's becoming very forgetable and uninterresting to take part in said encounters.
