Also totally miss that one can not tame wild critters to be our battle companions like we do in WOW. Of course not everything in wow is tame-able. So I would not expect that from ESO.
But why not a hunter class that lets us tame some of the wild things. Even if they cant be used for battle it would be awesome. ESO doesnt have enough variety in companions. All pretty much grotesque creatures which I guess the kids like. I miss my big black cat which I have in ESO on my mac. But no where to be found in ESO. I guess he was limited edition. IDK.
More companions that reflect whats out in the wild would be a boon even if we cant tame them ourselves.
I miss the variety from Warcraft. yep, Id go back for the pets. But unfortunately Im temporarily addicted to ESO. Fell in love with ESO when it was just single player Oblivion and Morrowind. Etc.
Its a great game. But More companions please. Some big cats!!! And bring back the black one. I think mine on the mac might be a deep blue with dark stripes. my fav!

OP's discussion is about combat pets not non combat pets.

But the bear is a companion pet that fights by ones side. I would suggest you have no idea what is available to the warden after this statement.
W.A.R.D.E.N
EQ2 had a really good pet class, beastmaster if I remember correctly. You had to capture over land animals and you could level them up. Different types of animals had different kind of abilities. Wolves had a pin ability while snakes had a dot ability. There were about 15 different animal types in total.

I would suggest you have no idea what you are talking about. if you think there is anything other than bear and the stupid blue flying things and bugs on the ground then you dont know what a battle companion really is. You need to have played warcraft or guild wars maybe to understand whats missing in the warden class.

On a side note I saw a Warden bear that was bigger and grey last night, while mine is brown. What is that about? A skill?

Are there even tigers in the game? Run across a lot of lions and senches, but I can't recall a tiger.

As someone who mained a BM hunter in WoW, I feel the same way. There doesn't have to be any difference in skills on the pet, just let it be a skin. But being able to tame a pet that suits your character (99% of the time that was a cat for me) and have it fight beside you was so awesome in WoW. And if the wardens could to that instead of just have the option of a permanent bear, that'd be so awesome.
