I am surely hoping to see solitude and whiterun. I hope there are very nice housing offers in here as well. Lets hop solitude and white run are very large in scale, and not the exact same as TES:5 Skyrim. I hope to see the College of Winterhold as well in its glory.
What are the places you would like to see again in the new Skyrim expansion coming this year?

i'd love to see riverwood or whiterun for the nostalgia... blackreach and winterhold would be great too...

solitude and markarth would be great as well as ravenrock (not sure if ravenrock was already a thing then)

with regards to what portion of skyrim is probably in the next chapter i could see them having (split again into 2 as in eslweyr) solitude and markarth as major cities and winterhold and whiterun (or riverwood) as minor locations and blackreach as trial.

bard's college in solitude with respective skill line... thats my prediction.

yea agree on blackreach will for sure be the trial

So maybe they will cut part of skyrim off the the middle of elswyer

like this: chapter start in Solitude by ship, it will look like a threecorner top is solitude left corner is markarth right corner is Winterhold and snowy area

Then DLC will be Whiterun and to the forest near Falkreath but not the town and Riverwood as a small questhub
Very like North elsweyr and South

Maybe they will come to their senses and decide for 40 bucks, the chapter should have 2 good size zones and 80% of the buildings won't be boarded up or a huge portion of the map won't be an innaccesible mountain.
But given that last year gave us objectively less content than previous years, they are unlikely to give us much this year. Especially given that most of the big work on performance updates is scheduled for this year.
I suspect that the whole Skyrim concept will be used to cover up what will be a very meagre year when it comes to content.

Please just give me Winterhold. I'd love to see Falmer at all, but honestly, I can be won over by just giving me Winterhold in all its pre-Collapse, Second Era glory.

Bonus points housing options in the region.
    Wishlists:

    Gameplay Wishlist:
-Winterhold [In all of its still-standing, pre-sunken, "rivaling Solitude" glory!]
    -Frost class/skill line [Wardens count!]
    -Unarmed/monk class or skill line
-Polearms/spears skill line [Aedric Spear counts, but...]
-Bound Weapons skill line [Casters should have more than sticks, yeah?]
    -More skill lines in general

    Housing Wishlist:
-Structure pieces, by the thousands! Walls, doors, stairs; everything from every racial/architectural style
-More functional furniture: doors that open/close, portals to travel throughout one home, etc
-"Lairs" or something similar: another separate, instanced space inside of a home
-NPC's: guards and bards, all day
-The Golden Vendor, but able to be placed in homes [Might help with some excess Cyrodiil traffic, maybe?]
-The Luxury Furnisher, but also able to be placed in homes [... Look, homes are huge and I'm tired of them being empty]
-Boat house [Fair Winds absolutely counts!]
    -Boat furnishings in general
    -Respec/redidication shrines
-Wayshrines [I can just port to a guildmate, I guess, but...]
    -Undaunted pledge billboards/Undaunted NPC's
    -Crafting writ billboards
-More mount/pet functionality when placed [Pathing counts!]
    -Guild bank/store access
-Ability to repair gear at home [If traveling merchants in the middle of nowhere can do it, why can't I?]
-Other, smaller, fun functionality, like farming or mini-games [Tales of Tribute absolutely counts!]

    QoL Wishlist:
-Text search boxes [Praise Tall Papa, thank you.]
-Item conversion/transmogrification [Outfit stations absolutely count!]
-Previewer/dressing room [Outfit stations absolutely count!]
-Instead of Arms Packs (or in addition to them), just sell me the blasted VFX
    -Gear loadouts [Armory system counts!]
    -Skill loadouts Armory system counts!
-Cloaks [I know you said no, but I'm not taking it off my list.]

Well, given that we got Skaal Outfit Styles during this event, my money's on Solstheim showing up sometime next year. Though that might be the DLC zone - could be a bit small for a Chapter.

This is the area I was guessing at for the Chapter...

    VWYNvgO.jpg

The SCARP of the Reach is smack bang in the middle of the map.
Includes the Karth valley we saw in the cinematic teaser.
The area I'm guesstimating is about the same size as the Northern Elsweyr map.
Bounded by high ground and ridge lines that can form a convincing boundary.
I put the North shore of Haarfingar out of bounds because of the TES V DG story content we can't mess with.
I crossed out Rorikstead because I thought it was a new settlement in TES V, not so sure about that now.

I hope the DLC will be Winterhold.

I'm not expecting to see Whiterun. Whiterun hold is mostly just a vast area of empty moor land. Also a few too many things going on there we can't get involved in because it would mess with TES V stories.

How would us going to North shore of Haafingar and/or Whiterun mess with any TES V stories? We are in the Second Era, Skyrim takes place in the Fourth Era. The events of Skyrim don't take place for another 950 years.

Pretty sure that area marked above is way too big for a single Chapter zone. Yet they squeezed Summerset into one map by making it smaller in every scope. So who knows in the end?

The problem is, we know real Skyrim so ZOS can’t really do it justice in a Chapter when it comes to size. In ESO you might travel within 1-2min from Morthal to Solitude where it took you five times or more in TES V.

I am really hoping for College of Winterhold + Spellcrafting but what we rather get is:

TES V Vampire content / area + revamped Vampire skill line (this is long overdue). It would totally fit ZOS engagement when it comes to giving us new and exciting stuff (or rather lack of that).

There's a lot of things in TES V that are said to have been there since the Merethic Era or First Era. They have to be there in the Second Era, and stay there as well.

I guess skipping the north shore and Whiterun is just the way I'd do it. If I was building ESO:Skyrim I wouldn't want my work that constrained. I'd want it to be far, far more than a bunch of prequels for stories in TES V:Skyrim (and let's face it, some of those stories were pretty poor fare.)

Definitely would like to see pre-collapse Winterhold. That’d be a dream come true.

Would also like to see Whiterun, maybe finally go up to High Hrothgar (the damned path is there, lemme make the pilgrimmage), Markath is on the list too. Solitude too.

Not sure I wanna go to Blackreach, it was bad enough in Skyrim XD
    Falmer everywhere... *shudders*

If we did go to Blackreach tho, I wonder if they will add Falmer as an enemy? I’d also like a fancy Dwemer themed house, plz and thank.

For me, it's Solitude and Winterhold at the top.

I'd love to see an attendant Bard's College and Mage's College quest line, and, as others have said, it would provide the perfect means of finally inserting a Spellcrafting system and/or a Spellsword weapon type into the game.

I know that it is unlikely given the smaller scale of ESO, but giving us the plains of Whiterun and the snowy forest (a very neglected biome) of the Dawnstar region would really hit the nostalgia feels. Even if these areas were sparsely populated in assets/content, so much of Skyrim's allure was the evocative power of the landscape by itself, and that would give them an opportunity to re-create that magic.

It would also be amazing to have a Hearthfire-style "homestead" house in said plains or snowy forest.

The icing on the cake would be an epic Halls of Fabrication-length trial using Blackreach as the setting. They could do SO many awesome things with that, such as including Falmer mobs, Dwemer-construct and Chaurus Reaper mini-bosses, and maybe a giant Chaurus Mother as a final fight.

OTOH, I am not keen on seeing Markarth or the Reach in general and, if the resident lore experts are to be believed, such a setting would not make sense anyway, as Markarth is being ruled by a hostile Reachman warlord.

Yeah, gotta set the bar a little low with ZOS. I mean have you been to Windhelm? Try to find Yngol's Barrow (the reason Ysgramor built the city in that location). It's missing. I doubt ZOS will skip those, as it is we are running out of territory. We only have Skyrim, Hammerfell and Black Marsh left for Tamriel. (Maybe a sliver of Cyrodiil). They will, most likely, be as accurate as they can be but not everything that is supposed to be there will be there.

I think we might see riverwood but not whiterun (riverwood for the nostalgia, and its much smaller / easier to build and the area around whiterun isnt interesting)

I think they cant do skyrim without doing winterhold or people would loose their mind...but its kinda difficult at the same time due to the location...I think they might do whiterun in a similar fashion they did the psijic order...where you dont travel there on foot but teleport there somehow and its really only the academy....

    Solstheim gets a maybe

I think the two things with the highest probability to see is probably solitude followed by winterhold...and blackreach seems likely due to the crown crate art and since it makes a perfect location for a trial (or public dungeon or both...)

The areas I'm most interested in are the College of Winterhold and Blackreach. In one of the later DLC's I wouldn't mind a Whiterun trial with a Skyforge crafting table at the end where you can craft weapons for an ability-altering Skyforge Steel set. Bard's College would be ok, I guess. Vampire Lords vs Dawnguard guild (for uninfected only) has potential.

Not really into the Markarth/Reach region. I'm utterly bored by Reachmen and their whole savage witchfolk vibe. I don't mind having them in the background, but I hope they're not too prominent. Might be useful as a werewolf faction opposing the Vampire Lords.

Given that Hew's Bane is a DLC zone, it being about the same size would be appropriate. DLC = small, Chapter = large.

In my opinion, a map from Solitude to Whiterun is far too large.
The cutting done by RaddlemanNumber7 is exactly what I was thinking.

Originally, I was thinking of an Chapter on the western kingdom of Skyrim and in Q4, a DLC on the Reach.

From the lore, we know that :
    - The west and east split takes place in 2E 431
    - The western kingdom's (Svartr family) capital is Solitude.
    - The eastern kingdom's (Freydis family) capital is Windhelm.

No WInterhold for capital. Maybe ? Since 1E 2805 ?
