Removal of "play how you want" and return to dedicated, well defined classes. With uniqe and powerful strengths balanced by unavoidable weaknesses.
I guess I can dream. But in the era of Wheeler you will get run through a spreadsheet sooner or later.

It’s always been play how you can want. I don’t know about now, but nbs were strong healers and tanks at one point.

Thanks for making my point for me. NBs are actually a great example. They used to have a very cool "heal through dealing damage" identity as healers. Have you seen anyone serious about their perfomance use Swallow Soul or Refreshing Path last year?
Sap tanks used to be a thing. Some might even remember the days of Tava's dodge tanks. Now everyone just tanks like a DK. Why not just be a DK and have the best toolset then?

I am sorry, I am just confused. Do you want classes to be flexible or not? “Play as you want” to me means flexibility. And you say you don’t want that...

I want classes to be rigid and unique. No "you don't get this as a class skills so here is the same skill in a World skill line" thing.
Ideally I'd love to see current classes split into several more narrower classes. Making an identity for stam DD, mag DD, tank and healer in 15 skills and 12 passives is an impossible task.
So for example instead of just "DK" there could be a class that can go stamDK or tank way with more dedicated skills to both of those lines. And a second class which inherits current magDK things and gets a decent selection of healing skills. And so on.
