Ps4 NA is still getting nonstop bluescreens

There was a patch on Wednesday that was supposed to fix stability and they even reduced resolution etc and none of it helped. I bluescreen nonstop still.

It’s not just me or my internet or console, it’s multiple guild mates at a time when we pvp. 4+ people every 20 min. Sometimes fighting Zergs, other times just standing there.

Is this problem going to be addressed? Been happening since the last dlc. Not sure if Xbox has these problems but a massive amount of ps4 console players have this problem.

The communication level of Zenimax is impressive, not really their problem as amazing it may sound. If you're incredibly lucky, someone might comment and inform you they are aware and looking into it, meanwhile get bluescreened and keep on paying.

Or just close the thread as its doing nothing positive for the game

What is the point of posting this? Bragging that you're cooler because you don't have this issue? Trying to cast doubt on the veracity of the OP? Seriously, why did you feel the need to chime in with a comment that adds nothing of value? OP clearly states multiple people besides herself are experiencing the problem so what does it do to let everyone know that you personally aren't?
Even if only 50% of players are having this issue it's a big deal as it renders the game virtually unplayable for half the PS4 user base.

Zos was actually pretty good keeping everyone updated in the ps4 tech support section.

Right up to the 18th where the patch didn't fix very much. It's been pretty much this since then.

This is definitely still an issue on PS4. I've had it happen on a launch PS4, PS4 slim, and a PS4 pro. I've read claims of it being a memory leak, but that's doubtful because it sometimes happens back to back whereas if it were a memory leak it would occur overtime not instantly after launching the game after the first blue screen unless it is some quirky issue with how the PS4 is deallocating memory.

ZOS are clearly trying to fix the problem, and critical to that is getting feedback from those who no longer suffer from it as well as from those for whom the problem remains unresolved. They need to know which fixes have worked for some, and not just hear from those for whom the fixes thus far haven't worked at all.

That would be all well and good if the response in question gave any pertinent information that would help the Devs; a simple "works fine for me" doesn't help in any way.

@Tandor they've been "working on it" for years, they should have a long list of what hasn't worked.
On the bright side I've only had 3 blue screens in 1.5 hours so it's a good night on PS4

There was a post awhile back (now removed) that was asking for banned players to be reinstated because they were forcibly causing other players to blue screen on PS4. Keep in mind, this was before this blue screen issue became the wide spread epidemic it is now, caused by a patch.
This was a player exploit caused by players.

Not shifting the blame from Zos onto players, just actually wondering how many problems of this nature are still being caused by players.
I personally have had issues seemingly around certain players...including a blue player (can't name and shame, although I'd love to) who everytime I'm near him, my abilities just don't seem to work.

This is all speculation and tin foil hat, I'm fully aware. But players have recently been banned for purposely causing blue screens on PS4. That much is fact. I'm just wondering how much of that is still going on, since it only seems to still be a major issue on PS4.

To try and add my own experience, I so far have not had a blue screen since the latest patch.

I have seen an increase in load screens fully freezing up between maps (spinning ouroboros stops spinning) which force me to close the application and re-launch the game. I am then loaded into the map I was previously on and can usually then travel to the destination I had intended to before my load screen freeze.

I also say this knowing full well that I'm the kind of player less likely to run into blue screens because I do not PvP and I do not do endgame trials, which are the two types of play I have heard are the big blue screen issue still currently. Before the last patch, I was encountering blue screens galore simply trying to overland PvE quest in Southern Elsweyr and running into way more blue screens than ever before on random older maps while simply doing crafting node surveys, etc. Non-intensive stuff, basically. Those all, at least so far, have gone away for me.

Agreed. This matches my experience since the last patch. No blue screen crashes, and I did sometimes get them in Southern Elsweyr while doing PvE activities before the patch. And I am sometimes getting load screens fully freezing up between maps while traveling between zones via wayshrine, while daily traveling around doing the New Life Festival quests, or doing other PvE activities. I haven't done any PvP since before the patch. Before the patch, while I was leveling a new alt doing PvP, I was getting blue screen crashes sometimes.

Sorry to hear these blue screens are still happening to others on PS4 NA. Just curious, after the patch on 12/17/2019, is this only happening while in PvP? I see the OP of this thread says they are getting them while in PvP. The previous post says they are not doing PvP, and are not getting blue screen crashes. I haven't done any PvP since the patch, and I am not getting blue screen crashes.

Because blue screens are a fact for any one that plays end game content and not just casual RP.
I don't get blue screens if I just run around overland either.

Yeah because you know what I play on the game? And I totally casually RP? Good one. I used to get blue screened out of Cyrodiil and BGs all the time along with dungeons I ran when set farming. I would also get blue screened just running along overland. I made a comment to show the whole server isn’t getting blue screens anymore. They’re also not a fact for everyone playing endgame content. You’re not collecting player data for ZOS so you wouldn’t know that. It’s possible just a small percent is still experiencing the problem, while it’s also a possible a large percent is still experiencing it. But none of us know.

I mainly PVP nowadays. BG and Cyro about 60% BGs 40% Cyro. I only really PVE when my guild is running trials and I’m bored with PVP or I am set farming vet dungeons.

I wonder if it's not also a problem on Sonys end, since the last Sony update I blue screen a few times in many other games. I've blue screened a few times in Skyrim, a lot in Path of Exiles in the last two months or so.

I was beginning to think it was my Ps4 Pro about to kick the bucket from extensive play. I was thinking of getting a new one but the PS5 is around the corner. Now I am wondering if it's not just my system and there is a memory leak from a Sony patch.

My husband and I use the same PS4 Pro, 3 years old by now, both of us use it for gaming (lots of different games, not just ESO), watching TV, etc. I can't say that either of us bluescreened or had any other trouble lately with any application other than ESO, so I don't really think it has anything to do with the Sony update.

Our PS4 sees extensive use, too, but the noise it makes seems to vary from game to game. I remember that while playing the latest God of War last year it would sometimes get extremely loud, even though there's definitely enough free space around it and we try to keep it as cool as possible. When I play ESO I hardly hear it at all, only sometimes and only temporarily. And, as I said, our PS4 is 3 years old already, so it's not exactly fresh anymore, but for the most part it still runs without any problems, so this might be an issue with your specific console. If you still have warranty, maybe you should get it checked out?

Opening and cleaning the fan and intake ducts will quiet your PS4 down.
Air flow restriction will cause your PS4 to run hot forcing the fan to run at higher speed.
That said ESO is very CPU intensive so cooling system maintenance is a must.
