Bank Filters

As a console player it is quite the pain to look for items in my bank. I have over 350+ items in it and it can be a nightmare when searching for one item in particular. I think it would be an awesome addition to the game if we had a way to filter our bank similar to guild store so that finding items would be easier and quicker. What do you guys think?

I'd give anything for just a basic search function. Particularly when looking for set pieces that have the same word or phrase, but not necessarily at the beginning of the item name.

@Nemesis7884 my thoughts exactly. I feel some of these things get overlooked on the console side because PC has access to so many mods.

@amapola76 I agree a simple search would be nice where I can type in a set name and it displays all pieces of that set or type in food and it brings up all food items. one hand, shield, etc. that would be amazing.

    + a million

Inventory management is a sh**fest in this game at the best of times. What with the plethora of unstackable, garbage that’s thrown at us and all. It seems, like much of the game atm, that no effort has been spent on this at all..

Given it’s just organising a small amount of data, it’s ridiculous that players can’t sort their items out easily, group them into sets and manage them effectively. It’s bad enough on PC with add ons, it must be offensive on consoles.

Although with ZOS’s ‘quality of life’ improvements track record (think Guild Finder - f-ed over guilds ever since launch, or Group Finder - consistently failed since upgrade) maybe we should be careful what we wish for.

I think it has more to do with PC has addons because Zos did not want to worry about having to refine a normal MMORPG UI and consoles were not a serious consideration when that decision was made.

In other words, Zos just does not want to have to deal with the UI more than they have to.

Absolutely. A search function would be ideal.

Being able to box sets in containers, so that they only take up 1 slot in your bank or personal inventory, would be even more helpful.

Sets should be stored together for starters.

New sets have been named in such a way that they end up together while the old sets end up randomly in your bank.

I'd like a way to mark something as important sort of like the opposite of Junk.

I've never understood why the Advanced Filters add-on wasn't one of the ones that got added to the base game back when they were doing that. It does everything requested in this thread, and for that reason is the one add-on I hate playing without.

When they all switched over to shared libraries I ignored all the rest not working but when Advanced Filters stopped working I went and downloaded all the libraries right away. 😄

I am a recent ESO player, now with a 340 bank space and a bit of hoarder disorder I find my self loosing too much time in bank and in inventory when I could be playing.
Can't be that hard to implement the same feature as mentioned above....

Tell me about it. Or if they just organized set pieces by set instead of head, shoulders, etc. Its like they knew the best way to organize something and went with the complete opposite.
