Fledgling Gryphon Pet Post

I know the Fledgling Gryphon Pet for gifting to friends was last year. And I'm not griping about it not being available now as an exclusive or whatever.
But please, someone, tell me I'm not crazy and that recently ZOS posted about it in the news as this years gift event by mistake and then quickly corrected.
I saw it posted about a week ago and quickly bought some crowns and gifted them some crates out. I see now that it was last year's event and i just want to make sure that I'm not going completely bonkers. I wasn't playing this time last year, so I know it wasn't just a case of crossed memories. Honestly, I don't even have a problem that I gave out spent crowns that won't eventually net me a neat pet, since I was still able to do something nice for friends and strangers.
