What is the best way to find pricing for items on consoles, particularly Xbox? Im tryto get more active in trading guilds but I feel like my economy understanding is lacking at best. Are there any resources that you console players reference since we dont have add ons like PC?

Best advice I can give is look around the traders yourself. See what’s fresh on the market and what’s about to be pulled, should give you some good clues on what’s not a strong selling price. Best to hit the major selling cities especially.

Also, a lot of the major guilds allow for price checks. Just ask in guild chat and link the item, majority of the time they’ll give you a pretty good estimate.

Go to a trading hub and shop for the items you want to sell. Find the range of prices, throw out the high ones or the prices on common items that have listed for 15 days or more. That will give you the average price. Then list yours accordingly.

If your in a trading guild, you can see the prices for what has sold historically, back about 30 days or so, depending on sales activity.

    Those are your best sources.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

I still get an idea of prices by going online to Tamriel Trade Center. Ya, it’s PC but at least gives a starting point. Then hit a couple of the main hubs and search prices for the item you want to sell, then undercut. Lol. Na, then price accordingly. Also, pay attention to how many days things have been listed. If something has only a few days left in the listing, it’s probably priced too high.

These are all good suggestions. I've been trading for a few years on XB, and it does require more work to find the best prices to list items. I usually search all my guild traders first, to get an idea of pricing. Since they are at varied locations, I can get an idea of how to price things for the area. Since PC has addons and TTC, location doesn't matter as much for pricing. But on console, you need to know what things sell for at a given location. I can price gold mats higher at Mournhold, for example, than I can in Windhelm. I find that I can sell lower tier recipes, blue motif books, and green furnishing plans for slightly more in Ebonheart, where more low-level players are who are looking for such items.

Thank you all for your suggestions. I was hoping to avoid the leg work lol but sounds like on console its unavoidable.

I usually at least check prices at the kiosks near my guild's trader. In this way you can get a good idea of what the competition is selling for in that area and can pick up the extreme low prices items for a bit of flipping. Most folks, unless they're looking for a very specific item that sells high, will shop where they are vs running to every trader on console.

The only thing I'd recommend as well is not to undercut the folks in your own guild by too much unless the price is way high. You'd be hurting your own revenue stream😉

Yes, TTC is one. But the most reliable way for me is to check what the guilds at Belkarth, Rawl'ka and Mournhold are selling items for. The ones in Summerset and Morrowind can occasionally be cheaper, but not by much

If you are in a guild that has a discord server, most will have a bot that will do price checks. Now, it's based off PC pricing, but for the most part it'll get you in the neighborhood.

You can avoid "leg work" depending on what you are selling and what kind of seller you want to be.

My general philosophy is to list an item for what I would be willing to pay for it. No "leg work" needed for that. The majority of the time, that means I am pricing things under the alleged market value. There are some exceptions for things I sell regularly, like alchemy materials. For that I really don't do "leg work," I just list up a stack of maybe 10 and see how fast it moves. Depending on how fast it moves, I adjust accordingly. It still blows my mind how much players are willing to pay for cornflower, but hey, I'll exploit that.
