Unlock outfit station?

I started up a new character on the EU server (first character on that server). She's finished the main story line and is working on Cadwell's Silver. I've got several different armor styles I know are unlocked (I get notifications every time I do), but the outfit station has the options for armor and weapon styles grayed out -- I can't select them.

When does this feature unlock? Do I have to finish Cadwell's Gold before that happens? Or does it require CP 810?

I currently have ESO plus, at least until it runs out in a couple months.

@Tinolyn You have to make sure when at the outfit station, to select Outfit 1 from the Outfit dropdown. By default its at Oufit 0 or something

If memory serves, you must first select an outfit from the dropdown menu (top left) from inside the outfit station. Until you do, the outfit station doesn’t let you do anything really. A bit awkward, but once it’s selected it will stay that way until a new outfit is chosen from the dropdown menu.

Each armor/weapon style requires a motif that must be learned. Whether it be a page or an entire book, you must click “use” on the page to be able to apply it to armors and weapons at an outfit station. If the style is greyed out, it means you haven’t learned it yet. Motifs may be bought in guild stores. Purchased in the crown store. Sometimes drop during certain dungeons/trials, be found questing overland, occasionally drop during specific zone dailies, or drop during events like the new life/witches fest. It varies from style to style and a lot have a description explaining where/how you can acquire them.

The styles are unlocked for use at an outfit station the moment you use them. Many require you to at least have either your clothing, woodworking, or blacksmithing to be level 50, with the first passive at level 9/10 or 10/10 in order to learn them, so it’s good to start early and get researching/deconstruct anything you don’t need. Intricate items become a great ally when it comes to quick leveling.

Hope that cleared up any confusion!

That might be the problem. I'll check when I get home. Thank you!
