Will ZOS ever fix getting stuck in walls?

I dont know for how many years players have been reporting getting stuck in walls. What I know is that still isnt fixed. If you dont want to remove the fear effect on players from bosses, at least make player's characters stay in place and not start running into walls.

This happened today in Volenfel. We were fighting Quintus and he cast fear on me, with the result being me stuck in the wall.

It is a very common issue in Wayrest Sewers and Crypt of Hearts too.

We piled about a dozen of us INSIDE a transmute station last night during my guild meeting... so, although I hope they fix the walls thing - I want this particular glitch to stay in-game. :)

I have yet to play an MMORPG where I did not get stuck in the environment at some point. I have yet to see an MMORPG fix those spots.

Yaaaah....this ones not likely to get completely fixed anytime soon...
I’m just glad I’m not falling through the world as frequently as I used to...lol

I'd love it if the NPCs and enemies would stop getting stuck in walls, too.

I've done a lot of walking away (and straight into other piles of mobs) because that last enemy standing a foot above the ground sniping at me cannot be attacked no matter what I do.

And then they sometimes port to me so I can kill them ... but then, sometimes they don't and hang out keeping me in combat.

    You just can't win.

I don't understand How comes that they has not made the walls "solid". Fire balls go through pillars and walls. And sometimes foes go into walls too, making it impossible to proceed in Dungeons.
Most people think Time is just like a river flowing in a single direction silently and unchanged, but it unveiled its totally astonishing truth to me: Time is an ocean in a raging storm...

Never been stuck in a wall. Not once... and I sadly have thousands of hours in this game. I have, however, gotten stuck in:
    • Chairs. When housing was new, there were some chairs that if you sat in them, you couldn’t get back up. Honestly, it was kind of hillarious.
    • Cages. Some NPC in a Wrothgar delve had a knockback spear that catapulted me inside a cage. Not only was I trapped, I could not fast travel or get unstuck because I was still in combat. That... was not so hillarious.
    • Loading Screens. Who hasn’t, yeah?

It’s no 95,838,480,632 on their list.

Well ahead of capes, but well behind gushing over their latest movie trailer, sorting out hotels in Vegas, and trying to fix the Activity Finder.

I find people being feared into furniture particularly hilarious (although significantly less so when I get feared into the stairs and everyone runs up and down them stomping on my head).

I’m sure ZOS has no idea why it happens and so has no clue how to solve this other than not to have things fearing you in dungeons.

A lot of these glitches, probably most of them, are due to the crappy Havok physics engine. I'm not saying this to bash or criticize ZOS - the Havok engine was a popular choice among game developers a few years back. However, the Havok library has gone into some kind of dead end and not improved in recent years. Instead, it has become a mess of patches upon patches, to the point where the current code base now appears to resist attempts at being reliably maintained and updated to meet the requirements of more recent games.

Rumor has it that ZOS is working on a replacement for Havok. I have nothing more than hearsay to support this, but I trust my sources. I think they are making the right choice by ditching Havok. I'm not sure it's such a great idea for them to write their own physics and collision API to replace it - physics is a complicated issue, and there are good reasons why third party libraries like Havok exist - but I suppose time will tell.

I am generally happy that they have a plan to fix this, even if it's never coming to fruition. Having a long term plan for updating crucial components of the server software means they are not giving up on the game.

The worst I.M.O. are COH2 and Wayrest Sewers (Both versions). Door won't open in Wayrest most of the time while one or two get through and start the boss fight. Also get stuck under the stairs on first boss sometimes (Croc boss).

COH2 has the fear into the walls going on now since the dungeon first came out. Still there. Heck, even the boss gets stuck inside the walls.
