[Poll] Blocking-Indicator (Turn On/Off)

Hi, thank you for checking this thread out,
I'm making a new poll since most other threads are outdated and I think this is still relevant.

Can we please get an option to turn the blocking indicator on/off, or have a way to disable it?
If you're casually running around or exploring, or even playing a character that doesn't use any magicka, you might not want this glowing magic shield floating in front of you. If you're doing things the "Hard-core" way, then let it be on by default, and maybe recommend it to be on, but, I think you should be able to turn it off in settings regardless. (Client-Side)

I don’t dislike it as is, but I can see why some would find it annoying, and I’m all for giving players options on what effects and indicators they see.

Make the option client side only so that it has no effect on pvp balance.

I thought so too at first, while I think it could be useful to serious players, I think the option to turn it off (client-side ofcourse) should at least be a thing.

Indicator is absolutely necessary in PvP where particle effects can obscure your opponent’s model and you can’t always tell if their blocking just by looking at their character.

That said, if some people would rather toggle it off for aesthetic reasons, I don’t see how that would hurt me.

Agree with the above posters ... it’s still necessary in PvP. In PvE a toggle would be fine with me.

Honestly, I'm pretty indifferent. It doesn't bother me that it's there, but it doesn't really serve any purpose either in a game that has animation canceling, block casting, and input lag issues. Plus, I play in first person a lot and it doesn't show up in that PoV anyway.

Sure, as long as the indicator turning off is only client side (only you can see your setting), and other player's setting makes your indicator appear/disappear to them. No qualms with more options here.

Just thinking client side too. If you like the feature, keep it on! I'm just looking for a choice since I'd personally would like to hide or turn it off.

This has been asked SINCE it was in the PTS.
For YEARS it's been asked. I was about to make a new thread about this until I found this that is just a couple months old! (and I hate creating new threads)

ZOS has NEVER said a word.
Not one. Didn't even appear in the patch notes.
Never answered any of the threads. Not here, not in reddit, not anywhere.
PLEASE, PLEASE make this a toggle.
It was only in PvP when introduced. Why was it needed in PvE? I have no idea.
I don't like it or think it's needed anywhere, but a toggle would make me happy.

How about just fixing’ the problem. Since the new block changes it sometimes gets glitched and will not go away. In fact, mine gets glitched every day and the only way to fix it is to log out and back on.

I dont remember the time it wasnt in game so I want to keep it. If you dont like it, you should be able to remove it.

Now that it has been implemented for such a long time, just disabling it could make it a bit harder for new players to both know if their openent or even themselves are fully blocking.

However, for experienced, and a lot of other players, it may be a nuisance.

If any changes are made to this, the only one I can support is giving the players the option to toggle their animated shield when blocking in their own UI, and possibly toggling your oponents shield so you don't see them.
But let players by default be able to see if your oponent is blocking.
