Destructive Mage Set

(2 items) Adds 1096 Max Magicka
(3 items) Adds 833 Spell Critical
(4 items) Adds 129 Spell Damage
(5 items) When you deal damage with a fully-charged Heavy Attack, you place a bomb on the enemy for 10 seconds. When another player hits the same enemy with a fully-charged Heavy Attack they detonate the bomb, dealing 9225 Magic Damage all enemies within 8 meters. This effect can occur once every 10 seconds.

*This right here is a prime example of a useless set lol. That along with galerion's revenge.

LOL. Back in the day some people liked to use that set in PvP. I never used it myself so I cannot speak to it's effectiveness personally. Regardless, that was before your time and with all the sets we have in game some will be less useful.

It’s clearly not a set for solo use.

But in the hands of a group who understand how it works, it could do a lot of damage to ad mobs or player zergs. Although 9k every 10 seconds doesn’t seem like a lot. There are probably far easier ways of doing that level of damage to all enemies around you.

It is a bit like putting a sticky bomb on an enemy.

It’s specialised... but it’s not quite as niche as Crusader

Oh and as it’s a magicka set, it would be quite directional and useable from range, so you could put it on someone, have a tank rush in, do a heavy attack and blam a shitetonne of damage on a group of ads

So it could be effective in, say, some of the pulls in Hel Ra where you have loads of ads. But still very dependent on your partners knowing to heavy attack.

Not before my time I played since launch, so I remember this set, however it needs a rework because seriously lol

Crusader? This set has nothing to do with the mentioned set.

Crusader is another legendarily 'poor' set people were debating on the forum
