First: please, no whining abount nerfes or combat or performace. A lot of post on these problems already, but this one will cover different problems. PLEASE.

PLEASE, before posting comments, read the above sentence.

When ESO was launched, we had nothing but the base game.

So ZOS had to make it long. They HAD TO. They needed time before DLCs and Chapters appeared.

AS A RESULT of that game start, we have the following:

- Awful mount speed leveling. Horrible. Not even Crown Store can help – my friend tried! He was willing to pay, he had money to spend on a game. Yet EVEN HE is not a Rockefeller! He refused to pay for full speed! He made it 30 and said: enough of that crap. @ZOS, lease adjust: ACCOUNT WIDE.

- Too long basic game quests. The STORY is amazing. But some QUESTS DESIGN just take our time/ When we had nothing but basic zones, THAT DID MAKE SENCE. But now?! We have a lot of things to do! PLEASE, @ZOS, CUT USELESS TO-AND-FRO RUNNING FROM ALLIANCE QUESTS! Not dialogues, not stories – but the very running from point A to B and back to A!!!

- Banker. Yeah, the one we get for Crowns. When we had a base game only, we had to be busy. Travel here and there just to put something into guild store… Now we are really busy, @ZOS! PLEASE, MAKE A CROWN BANKER ACCESS THE GUILD STORES!

- Merchant. See above. Please, Make the Merchant repair things in PVE (I don’t know how it works in PVP, so I can’t talk about it)

    I'm not sure how is length of the game even related to your list.

    Are some of the points in your list valid inconveniences? Sure. Does ZOS has any serious reason to change them? No.

    Since when are you playing? It is important. If you started in 2014 you sure don't have any problems. BUT new players come each day. And those things are pretty easy to fix/adjust.

    I agree with the bank and merchant. It would be nice to repair and guild bank in the field.

    i definitely agree about the banker. I can't personally see any reason why we can't have access to our guild stores through the assistant.

    As to the other points, I'm fine with them the way they are.

    This whole idea that dungeons, quests, trials, etc take too long are the whole reason this game has been "dumbed" down into the ridiculous state that it is.

    I'm fine with everything as it is, and the argument about it being ok for veteran players but not for new players misses the point that all veterans were new players once - and they didn't have the banker or merchant at all then, for example.

    The main reason that some things take a long time in MMORPGs is because they are intended to be played over years, not weeks or even months. We're back to the old "I want a maxed character and I want it now" approach and no developer has any incentive to pander to that.

    In contrast, however, some players yearn for the old school games where you took several weeks just to gain a level - and lost it again if you died too soon afterwards :wink: !

    ESO is a pretty good compromise in my view between both the old school approach and the instant gratification approach. ZOS have other more pressing things to spend time on.

    Mount training should be shorter such as allow you to buy one of each upgrade per day. Account wide will never happen cause crown store riding upgrades.

    The quests are mostly fine. Some of them play them for the story. We dont want just 2 sentences of dialog with no depth. It's supposed to take time.

    I agree banker should accessential guold stores and merchant repair.

    It's true that the back and forth on some quests is pretty extreme, but that doesn't just pertain to the base game. I remember a quest in Murkmire where you literally get sent to the other side of town just to get a hammer from a storehouse, only to return to where you just were before and destroy a statue with said hammer - when they could have just as well put a conveniently placed hammer right beside that statue.

    Generally, though, I have to say I'm okay with the way the quests are designed and their length. As far as the account-wide mount-training is concerned, you can keep dreaming, but this is never going to happen. I agree it would be great, but don't seriously expect this.

    The one thing I really think should absolutely happen is the repair function for the merchant. I honestly don't even know why ZoS would give us the opportunity to sell stuff on the road but not to repair it. Doesn't make much sense to me and definitely should be adjusted.

    Umm. Mount leveling took less than 1/3 the time when the game launched. It was not so bad. After all you are complaining about when the game launched. If you want to put forth an argument please make your reasoning correct.

    1. Mount training. doubtful it will become account wide. This is just not going to happen.
    2. Complaining about quests? Really, this part makes it sound like you are just complaining for the sake of it. Do not like the quests go find a different game. The quests in this game are great.
    3. Zos considered selling upgraded merchants and bankers. It did not go over well since it meant buying them again. It would be nice if Zos sold us an upgrade though. This has the best chance of happening.

    I just want to point out that there exists a buff called major expedition as well as sets and pots and a mundus stone to boost speed. You dont have to mount to get around. There is also a key bind to auto walk/run your character around as well as wyshrines and houses every where you can get around pretty quickly now in game as long as loading screens cooperate

    If they don't make mount training account-wide, the least they could do is lower each attribute from 60 to 30.

    *shrug* I don't worry about the mount training thing. I'm logging in every day anyway, on 45 toons. And I don't have issues with the gold.

    Really.... I'm not in that big a hurry to get anywhere anyway.

    I have couple clients who been waiting roles from a perfect production like yours seems to be. If i might be bold enough and just to throw in some ideas for their characters, i have:

    the Other Dude, from the movie Dude, Where`s My Car? ready to say catchphrases like "Dude where`s my Wheels?" as the school bus driver.

    and the kid from Home Alone, well not a kid exactly anymore.. could play a creepy janitor named Richie that puts deadly traps on the school to stop burglars.

    I have Dave Chappelle who played himself, as the philosophical burglar who could give the kids good life tips. I can see him as the narrator voice also. No, i do not have Morgan Freeman available, sorry.

    Also have the blue pen from Jim Carrey movie Liar Liar, no idea what we could do with that, but maybe something for Season 2?

    This would be a nice compromise tbh, and more realistic than account wide. Because I do agree about the mount speed.
    The merchant and banker would be nice but imo not essential.

    As for the length of the storyline.... um, speaking as a newish player, I arrived with Elsweyr, and pardon my French here, wtf dude! Are you for real?
    Listen I for one do not want a storyline for the entire game that I can play through in a few weeks. Not with a game of this age. I neither want nor need a rushed or butchered story, I'm in no way that much in a hurry to play through all of it. I like that I can take my time and have months worth of content here.
    Tbqh your suggestion sounds more like it's for the sake of long term players who has already done the story several times than first timers like me.

    Something just hit me. This forum has a lot of nerf threads, but I think this one is the first I see that asks for a nerf to the story content because it's too "op" (ie, long) :D

    Though I'd love to be able to repair on my Merchant and access guild banks on my banker, this is intentional by design. It helps create players gathering hubs, if players were not forced to town periodically, a lot of hours would become even more of a ghost town than they currently are. From a monetary standpoint, that they don't do this shows they are dead set to keep forcing players to periodically gather.

    If they moved this functionality to player merchants and bankers it would definitely spike sales of those assistants, that they don't is pretty indicative of them wanting to maintain the status quo.

    Mounts are fine as they are, and the changes made in the last patch make sense. Need more speed? Slot maneuver....

    Quests aren't long - you, as many others playing the game, have an instant gratification problem...

    Banker/merchant are fine as they are - in the long therm is cheaper to use repair kits than having the merchant repairing your gear.

    Mount upgrade should definitely be :
    - account wide
    or
    - reworked so we can farm it

    Make it so tedious and long to grind just to force people to buy in CS is a direct insult to your customer.

    I'll add one more thing :
    Craft research, that the exact same problem.
    Made it account wide if it stay like this or change the way so we can grind it w/o be limited by time.

    Forced time related grind is the most garbage design choice I've ever see on a MMORPG.
