Better quest rewards and optional responses

ZoS, in case you didn't notice, you have some great storylines and characters in your game. Sadly, most of us, once we played it once we can't afford the time to quest with alts, because the XP and rewards for questing are so low. We usually so busy doing other stuff that we never find the time. These are2 the things I'd like to propose you change:

1) Better XP and rewards: Make it that it's worth the time to level new alts through questing.

2) More role-playing options in our answers: I've never been a fan of voiced protagonist, I love old RPGs like Morrowind, BG and Planescape Torment. Look at KOTOR. So we don't need a voiced character. But, even if Elder Scrolls is not known for an amazing variety of answers available in dialogues, you can be the first in the series! Please! Add more options for "good/bad/snarky/etc" type of characters. Even if it's only lines, we'd love to see the response of the characters. To afford this in the future, simply lower the amount of dialogue the NPC says (which are lengthy, sometimes too much), but add more trees, more options, even if the outcome ends up being the same.

I insist, your stories are great, that's why I want to see a revamp to make the experience absolutely amazing.

I fully agree. I really dislike VA - not only voiced protagonist (UGH), but any VA at all. I want to read and absorb personalities and motivations and mysteries and snarky SOB crap.

Yeah. I'm old. But I'm still not only playing games/MMOs, I'm ALSO PAYING MORE THAN MY FAIR SHARE for all you people who are too cheap to pay your own way.

That last is NOT in any way pointed at you, @Loves_guars.

I pretty much agree with everything you said, OP. Unless there's an event with a 100% exp boost and you combine that with exp scrolls, leveling through questing really is a bit of a slog. Which is perfectly fine if you're new to the game, but if you want to just level an alt while experiencing some of the stories again, it really takes a long time. Which, as you said, is indeed a bit of a shame, because I also feel like the storylines are one of ESO's strongest points. I know a lot of the seasoned players care more about the endgame content, but I personally, even though I do enjoy vet dungeons (but stay away from vet trials), have always liked the stories a lot, and I also like to revisit them after a certain time.

Which brings me to your second point. I don't really "RP" in that sense, but I do like to immerse myself as much as I can in the stories and the environments. And the conversations are really the one point where I feel the game is lacking, because it is rare we even get two different options for what to answer. And I don't mean the decision type answers, just the 'normal' responses that could really offer some different flavour, for our own characters as well - if there were any options to choose from.

I kind of doubt this is something ZoS would actually implement, since it would need a whole lot of work on old content, when really they should focus on the issues at hand (group finder, pvp, server stability, etc.), but it is still a good thought that deserves support, IMHO.

Couldn't you just turn dialogue volume off to get that same old RPG feeling?

Zone Story Quests have a ton of exp. It is the side and misc quests that usually lack. The DLCs have more exp in the side quests, but that is because those zones have less quests overall. Each zone does give about the same exp if you complete it. Hews Bane and Gold Coast being the exception.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.
