how to buy pvp gear from Cyrodil vendors when my faction is not in control over their region?

sivistojko
Hello all. Now I went to Cyrodil in effort to buy Alessian Order set for my warewolf stamsorc. I'm Dagerfall COvenant and I realized that Vlastarus guy who sells the gear is hostile towards me because clearly my alliance is not in control of the area. I was thinking about this but since there is one this one vendor, I decided to go anyway. Please tell me how am I supposed to get the gear from him? If I have to wait for my alliance to conquer this area, that's never going to happen....

I feel the same with Bruma. Thought the vendors would all sell the same items then it wouldn't be so bad, but they don't. What you can do is buy in guild stores, ask for help etc. But if you really wanna buy for ap you just got to wait and hope.

There is only one way, to conquer the territory! However, you can swap around to different campaigns to see if you own the township in any of them.

Just take the town. Even solo it is easy though it can happen you have to flip one flag twice.

Edit: If solo I always take the flag with the least enemies first because if they will respawn it will take less time to kill them.

You can flip the town. Call in reinforcements from chat if you think you'll have trouble with it, or will attract enemies from other factions.

Another way is to jump campaign to see if the town is in control by your blueberries. You can join another campaign as a guest, so you don't have to give up your tier campaign standing to do so. Pop in, grab your gear, and bounce back to your home campaign.

Hope you get what you're after!

If you really need to take the town yourself, it's best to go to an empty campaign (30 day unlocked is good on PCEU), and/or do this at a time when there's the lowest population, such as early morning (EU time) on PCEU.

Any PvE build that's capable of clearing vMA is more than good enough to take the town(s) - but of course PvE builds are completely unsuitable for fighting enemy players, if any show up to defend the town.

You can also buy pieces from guild traders, if people have them listed for sale.

I have logged into characters from controlling factions to buy the gear I want. That is if you don't care what style the gear is (EP, AD, or DC). Have to go to a campaign that isn't faction locked though, unless you are quick about it. Also, might have to fight other players even if your faction owns the town.

Since it's saleable, it's not bound.
So you could log into a non-alliance-locked campaign and go grab it on whatever toon is the same alliance as the controlling alliance.

Your best bet in the short term is to get in zone chat and try to get a group to take it if you a high enough level and no players are around Valastarus you could try and solo take it or go to another campaign and see if you own the town there

In the long run its always handy to have least 1 character in each alliance so you don't have to wait on your alliance with the some of the events that have double exp leveling a new character to 50 isn't to hard...

I also play on PC from time to time but I just wanna be left alone on there so sorry.

There's a non faction locked campaign, so just check who owns there the town and use a character from that faction to buy gear.

Just take the town yourself. They aren't very difficult to capture, so there is no need to wait for your alliance to do it.

That's what I was going to say, those darn guards respawn too fast, even if you leave the bar only half conquered on each flag at Cropsford.

Yeah, I even tried it on a full meta pve dps, just to get get it all done at that little bit extra speed, and I still kept chasing the flags around. I suspect after a while I would have done it, but after flipping the centre flag for the 3rd time, I just got bored and wandered off.

Hmm odd, I remember being able to do it, albeit with some difficulty, using the PvE easy sorc build - although that was pre-Elsweyr.

I've also managed to do that on a lower DPS build (15k or thereabouts AoE DPS), but it was quite tedious and required using a trick which is no longer possible since Elsweyr(Scalebreaker?) - using 2 meatbag catapults to quickly kill the flag guards from outside their attack range. Using 2 or 3 fire ballistae was another viable alternative.
This is a lot more difficult now, perhaps even impossible: since Elsweyr/Scalebreaker, guards are invulnerable when sieged solo from outside their attack range, you have to siege them from where they can fight back... which makes sieging them very tedious with all the incoming damage and CCs.

In any case, forget about using single target oriented damage builds for this, it takes WAY too long to kill the guards one by one even with meta PvE DPS.
Heavy AoE damage is crucial. Remember to also CC the Honor Guards to prevent them from burst healing.

    K for sake of clarity
You need to Capture the Town
To do this there are 3 flags
You must kill the Npc guards and flip all the flags past the halfway point
Once this is done you will spawn new Friendly Npcs of your alliance and you can now go to Vendor and make purchases
Also once a town is Captured there is a Transit shrine available at the top of the Respawn
So if DC are in control of Brindle and you Capture Vlas(or if Vlas is Already captured) you can transit to or from it

Heh odds are you had an enemy Alliance player counter flipping the flags on you

It’s a fairly easy Troll maneuver to keep control of a Town especially when out numbered

The Crops flags are an absolute pain to solo flip, all have guards at them unlike Bruma and Vlastarus which have 2 flags with guards and are easy to solo without enemy players around. The respawn rate for the guards is almost the same as the time it takes to flip all 3 flags solo.

Naw...just make sure to start on the Northen flags first as that fight takes the longest...once that’s done it’s business as usual
