Event structure

Would it be possible to change the way events work? Could they be more like the daily login. Basically to use the undaunted event as an example. The event runs for 7 days.
Day 1 you kill the last boss in a dungeon you get reward level 1.
Day 2 you get reward level 2.
Day 3 well life kick in and you just can not login and do it.
Day 4 you complete the level 3 reward.
Day 5 you get the level 4 reward.
Day 6 you get the level 5 reward which is the top level reward.
Day 7 you can lay for extra purple boxes if you wish or finish off that silly quest chain you have not been able to. :)
Now for extra runs on the days you got the purple reward bag. This allows for people to miss days but not really miss anything that happens in the event. It would be really great if all events could run a set amount of time I would ask 2 weeks with a need for 5 days of completion needed for the top level reward.

With all of the events back to back it is easy to get player burn out since the desired idea of events is that this drives more people to play every day I get it. For short runs this is cool and fun like 1 event every other month. With events stacked on top of each other it does begin to be a bit overwhelming. Also we really need a schedule posted for the year. I know I put off till next weekend a trip for the undaunted event so if the undaunted event is fixed and happens this coming week I will end up missing part if not all of it. The above idea would allow for people who go on vacation or crazy things like power outages to still play and have fun with out missing out because of scheduling problems.

Also thank you for pulling the event this weekend! In years past we have struggled with trying to find workarounds to get the rewards so knowing you will fix it and rerelease it when it will work IMO is a great thing!

This is just am idea to try and balance the events. I know the ticket system is kind of the same idea during a quarter I want to get 20 tickets so I can get the feathers and the mounts. With the addition in the store now of being other options to buy IMO it kind of drives people to login every day just to get the tickets. I am just looking to kick around some ideas that allow for the casual weekend player to still get the cool mounts while the daily players can still gets rewards for their work.

Anyone have a better system idea?

When every day is an event, it's not an event.

Agreed, now there's an event every 2 weeks and it feels awfully off. I'd personally like to see them shorter and with less, but flashier, rewards

I just wish they would separate the tickets from the event reward boxes drops, and just have a memento that you use to get them daily like the anniversary cake.

The better run events seem to be the ones that run for a longer period with less rewards per day, without a punishing RNG grind for rewards.

This helps players with different time commitments get to participate and get a fair amount of rewards, while the people who do grind get to profit in the short run but make the rewards accessible in the long run. It takes a lot of the pressure off and makes it more about "fun" instead of "fear or missing out."

Except that most of ESO's events are built around stoking that "fear of missing out" as hard as possible in order to encourage players to grind, grind, grind for rare rewards in a short time frame or buy Event tickets from the Crown Store.

    Ideally?
I'd limit the number of events to 1 or 2 a quarter and let them run for about 2 weeks, with a sensible RNG for rewards and easy to acquire event tickets.

I actually enjoy all of the events, because they give me an incentive to go back to the pertinent zones and do their daily quests again for a while.

I even enjoyed the events for Cyrodiil and the Imperial City, even though I'm more interested in PvE than AvA or PvP.

I had a blast in Cyrodiil doing AvA scouting jobs and capturing resources, and even jumped on the "Let's go zerg some enemy forts!" train, then helped capture all of the Elder Scrolls for my alliance. I also finally collected all of the Cyrodiil skyshards and completed all of the delves.

Then I discovered that the Imperial City Sewers aren't as scary as I thought they'd be, helped my fellow alliance members beat Molag Bal's simulacrum or whatever, grabbed all of the skyshards in the Imperial City and Imperial City Sewers, and soloed all of the small bosses (not the patrolling ones) in my alliance's section of the sewers.

If it weren't for the events, I might just settle back into my rut of doing the daily crafting writs. :o
I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!
