Then they gotta maintain both servers, and you see how well they handle the EU server.
Just imagine you're standing at a guild store and someone starts blasting you from behind and kills you, every day.
The future of PvP is Battlegrounds.
XvXvX Battlegrounds. From small scale 2v2v2 right up to the gargantuan.
Clearly it’s not here. But that is where the development is going. If ZOS can develop an effective group finder, then it’s easy to imagine a vibrant PvP scene. At which point PvP expansions (new maps, better player matching, guild organised fights etc) actually become viable.
No one wants overland PvP. Almost no one wants Cyrodiil PvP.
@FierceSam bg's get boring in their current state, to me. They don't have the variety and randomness that cyro can have.

For once and for all the Mega server is not one physical server!

Game companies lie all the time, so can't you just lie this one time for us and add PvP in different servers if it means having 300 players on the same screen at once?
I've been watching old vides of PvP and those fights were HUGE!

Is this the type of PvP challenge people are looking for? I have never found soft unsuspecting targets to be a challenge. Disappointed this is the reason some people want a PvP server.

This sort of PvP doesn’t happen in a vacuum. If I attacked a player I’d expect them to come back to try to get revenge. Then that would prompt other players to join in the brawl soon it would be PvP chaos all over the town. I want chaotic spontaneous PvP in my overland experience. Though I admit it would prob never happen in ESO it’s still fun to think about.
You said the ENTIRE game was in one giant mega server but people simply hate how bad the performance is.

At the same time, you could MAYBE even add a more difficult setting for overland in this new server for the people that want a challenge. Maybe the entire server could be PvP even outside Cyrodiil.
If more difficult overland is indeed an unpopular opinion as you have been treating it, then this server would have no problems... right?

TO be honest, I'm not even sure if this would fix the problem.
Very few games are able to handle that many players in a zone at once, whether they have mega servers or not. Every MMO I have ever played has struggled with this in fact... with the lone exception of WoW.
I'm no server expert so I can't really make an educated guess as to why that is. All I can suppose is maybe the technology just isn't there yet for most companies. That or they are just too cheap to invest in it.

You are correct that the idea would not fix the problem. First of all, most players would not likely move to a PvP server for various reasons but most notably they will not leave those they play the game with. Further, servers tend to be scaled to the player load that is intended. Something more is going on with ESO which probably has more do to with poor optimization and considering Zos has laid out a plan to work on that it seems to be partially the case.
Have no idea what lying has to do with it as OP seems to suggest.
I just don't understand why one of the oldest MMORPG's (WoW) seems to be the only MMO capable of handling large amounts of players at once without any lag. You would think technology would have gotten better since then.... not worse or stagnant.
