Nord is completely viable, not the best option, but you get extra health passives, resistances and still get some max stamina. Plus they are one of the best tanking races & a great PVP race so you have flexibility there :)

Actually Nord is quite a good choice for PvE tanking and PvP trough and trough. You can play in 5M2H and have the same resistance as races w/o resistance passives in 5H2M - more damage, more sustain. You will also have better ultimate generation, since there will be always something to damage you. The chilled status effect immunity makes you tankier against magicka Wardens or even some DKs and Templars that use frost staves.

Yes that would perform well for pvp, nord is a very strong race, I play nord on all my stam classes. For PvE it would only make sense if you were a tank.

Nord helps with the expensive class ultimates as well from the ulti gen.

And since ultimates are the meat and gravy of the stam necro at this point, it makes for a good combo IMHO.

My stamcro tank is also a Nord.

However, the main issue is the state of the stamcro in itself. I don't play mine as much anymore. Since all the nerfs to the 2H skills, my tank now hits like a wet noodle (and due to climate changes, this noodle won't freeze anymore, so it stays floppy :( ) The nerfs to bleed and carve, combined with the broken mechanisms of corpse targeting and blastbone pathing, and the inability to cast Dawnbreaker since they added a cast time that makes it fail to cast in any laggy situation, makes it hard to kill anything anymore with it.

If you want to tank troll, you might have some fun with it... for a time.

Nord is great. Necro, not so much.

That said, I used a free race change to swap to Dunmer...the mag/spell damage passives and hybrid-y sets bump my base stats just high enough to make class healing usable on a stam build. I found the raw stat density more useful than the armor and ulti-regen.

Yes, Imperial is also a good choice, since Necromancer has a bit of a sustain issue, and that 3% cost reduction from racial passives helps a bit. It also applies to ultimate abilities, and will make Colossus faster to cast. The extra HP is not bad either. If you wanna DPS in PvP you can run parse food (Lava Foot & Saltrice Soup) without sacrificing any points in HP. You'll have almost 16K HP before Ebon and Major Toughness with 1L/5M/1H setup.

Depends how on your playstyle, Bow or DW BRP both work.

Don’t listen to the haters, Nord’s definitely one of the best pvp races.

Think of it like your race gives you an almost full fortified brass set. 1H and 6m and will give more resistances then 5H builds on other races. I’d much rather have the 5m weapon damage bonus on a Nord then 200 some odd weapon damage bonus on a heavy build using another race.

Looking for any guildies I used to play with:
    Havoc Warhammer - Alair
LoC EQ2 - Mayi and Iskiab
PRX and Tabula Rasa - Rift - Iskiab
Or anyone else I used to play games with in guilds I’ve forgotten

Do you know something about his/her setup?

It was Gupsy. Using front bar maul, back bar sword and board. He was using the corpse siphon heal, spirit guardian, vigor and rally for defensive mechanisms, as well as puncture, blast bones, skeletal archer, dizzying swing and executioner to dmg.

No dots? Thought necros rely on dots because its theit class advantage. And no proc sets (monster too) you noticed? Interesting.

Ive been maining a stamcro this patch with no dots. Dots are just so weak this patch that the necro passive isn’t enough to save them.

As for the necro dueling build, it’s not something you really want to play in open world. The whole thing is based on jumping around and cycling through your four healing spells just to kill time until your burst is up and trying to 1-shot your opponent with a Collossus combo.

Tried this skill setup (with some changes) wearing Fury, Bone Pirate and TK 5/2 heavy; no-CP campaign. Swapped siphon heal to necro potency for better ult feeding. In group fights using ress ulti instead of spell wall. Spirit guardian is very nice as defensive thing giving 10% mitigation all the time. Main weakness of build: you're slow and cant catch cloaking NBs or sorcs streaking away.
Should be more bursty with DBoS instead of colossus, with current lags coloss has unpredictable delay that makes it useless against moving targets.

Stacking DoTs contributes to burst. Put all the DoTs, hit them with Colossus, execute.
