Yeah ....because that's how "repairs" work...once it's "repaired" it never breaks again...

Well, you got a point, since their "repairs" might be part of the problem.

Also, closing it could maybe trigger a Streisand effect, so I don't get what they are trying to achieve with this closure... I could understand it would lead to confusion if they chose to procede with another situation than last year. But then, why not mention it in the closing statement? (And wouldn't amending the thread title into "2018 Undaunted celebration event follow-up" be a more efficient way to suppress confusion?)
This looks like the quick dismissal of a valid but embarassing grievance... which is not very good in my opinion.

Yep, that old thread had to be seriously embarrassing and caused some significant ego bruising from the beating they're taking.

Yeah it's really hard to know if a fix is going to cause other issues, until you apply the fix, and see if it causes other issues. If issues never happened, people like me would be unemployed.

So you think it's a software related problem ?

We've had three years in a row of problems with this event. They pledged last year that they wouldn't go forward with another event that used the group finder unless they had perfect, "100%" confidence that it would work. As much as I love this team and this game, they deserve some heat for what a mess this is.

I'm amused by the apologists. Always so upset and so willing tondefend ZOS...
Look at it anyway you want, they messed up again but you know who the real idiots are? People like me who spent so much $$$ on this game only to get slapped in the face with all these issues.
Customer service used to help alleviate some of the issues I was having but last time I asked for help, they basically laughed at me...

They think it's magic, and the Wizard behind the curtain just needs to wave his wand.

It's funny how it was closed for being an old thread. More like, over a year old problem that keeps kicking their butt.
