    Khajiit NB?

    Dunmer DK?

    Orc Necro?

I think it really depends on what you want to do and how you like to play. If you really are looking for advice, give more info about your intent for your future character.

    Dark Elf Nightblade or Necromancer.

They look good, fit thematically, and you get the added bonus of extra Flame Resist that negates the Vampire weakness to Flame.

Why do people desire to be some daedric prince's personal bitty?
I simply must protest. There are no Penguin avatars for me to use in the forums.

    BTW, I use arch too

Nightblades work especially well with vampires due to the stealth speed bonus.

    Pve or pvp?
Anything but Templar, warden, and stamina builds for theme builds.
Dk nb and Necromancer would work best.

    Anything.

Vampire passives are so universal that they work for pretty much any kind of character.

If you are interested in using active skills, be aware that they have no stamina morphs. But even with magicka you are not making a build around one mobility tool, one kinda weird CC and a meh ultimate. So you can just sprinkle them here and there for flavor on any character.

My Templar healer did really well in PvP as a vampire. I didn't like the way she looked though so had her cured. Been a while though so maybe changes would have wrecked her?
I like my DK in PvE, a lot of fun to play.

Lol these people are clueless. Dunmers fire resistance wont break or make the build.

I suggest the class you want to play. I have vampires in multiple classes and they all work well. I particularly prefer vampire on any magicka build I use in Cyrodiil.

Edit: As for Dunmer. The fire resistance helps but it only off sets some off the added fire damage. I have a few vampires and only one two are Dunmers and I do fine on all of them.

Being good at avoiding and mitigating damage is what makes or breaks a vampire build.

The -class- that works best is nightblade, because... the reddish effects mesh beautifully with vampire blood theme, and the added sneakyness helps a lot sometimes.

Magica build of course gets the most benefits from vampyness, and as for race... welel, it depends. Many like to gu dunmer to offset the fire vulvnerability, many others like to go breton for more magica effect, or even altmer for similar reasons...

Dunmer, you can basically forget about the negative fire damage that comes with vamps.

But to be honest all the same bis races tend to apply for each role/class, even when a vamp.

The fire damage vulnerability is vastly overstated by the community. It's not that significant in endgame. On top of that, Mistform and even just Undeath more than make up for it.

    My magDK would have disagree.

    ...HOW!?

You've got the spell resist passive. You're more resistant to fire?

In your defense, if you don't have champion points yet, that is a major factor.

I like vampires in PVP. I torch them with fire and prismatic glyph backbar on my magDK.

I would say either, magicka or stamina. Both breeds of Night Blade would benefit greatly from the stealth speed bonus, both would benefit from the 10% regen bonus. The other passives are useful as well, as are the abilities themselves to be honest, especially in PvP. As others have said, any class can benefit from choosing a Vampire. But I do believe Night Blades in particular are uniquely suited for the skill line. Though contrary to what some have said, I do think the increase in fire damage taken is significant and something you should be aware of.

If any of these vampire-bashers played through the vampirism mini-quest they would know that you are explicitly NOT Molag Bal's property.

They make a big deal of renouncing Arkay for forsaking you and also denouncing Molag Bal for defiling you.

MUCH more open-ended if you want to roleplay as a decent person.

That said, worst thing about vampirism by a mile is the aesthetics, yuck!

I'm not saying it won't work (gameplay wise,) only that it won't work for "theme/RP-builds."

Vampire is basically a glorified 10% regen boost (for pve.)
Devouring Swarm feels significantly weaker now than pre-scalebreaker, and elusive mist is a pvp skill..
Drain works as a primary stun, but that's about it.
