Neither the finder seemed broken (last Sunday 11/11, PS4 NA server).
@MentalxHammer @russelmmendoza @akl77 @Araviel2 In which platform and server are you experiencing this?

I would be satisfied if they would just disable to desert penalty until it's fixed. Because it's pretty annoying getting stuck in a battleground that never starts and then having to eat a penalty because you had to leave.
I think part of the issue is people just sit in the dead zones. I was in one today where a guy in there said he had been through multiple groups. I asked him how long he had been sitting there and he said he lost track cause he was watching YouTube videos. So they need to come up with a way to close down these zones so people don't just sit in them forever like a black hole sucking up players in the queue.

The dead simple workaround to the issue they're trying to fix, that I've been asking for during the last year or so (Murkmire, Wrathstone, Elsweyr, all three I brought it up), would be to allow players to leave during the "waiting for players" stage without incurring the penalty.
Maybe a half hour out of someone's time to chuck it in, do some artificial testing on their side to ensure it doesn't immediately break literally everything, and boom, problem solved while they find the actual cause. But nah, let's release a new activity finder which has proven to be more broken than the last, and let's leave that in while the BGs community goes insane. That'll solve the problem!

The queue is already reverted on PC EU as it used to work before the group finder changes.
It will be nice if ZOS explain what actually is happening.

I get que times like this -
And while I sit and wait I watch my friends getting into multiple games without being able to fill full teams.
