Hi, We, the community, are still waiting for some kind of response from someone from the Dev Team

Like the title says, ever since the launch and subsequent crash/failure of the new LFG system with Update 24 the community has been waiting for someone other than Gina/Jessica/Sarah to step forward and give us a detailed insight into what happened, why, and what is being done on the back end to insure it doesn't happen in the future.

This subject will keep coming up over and over until the actual Dev team delivers on their promise of more transparency towards us, the player base. The silence has been deafening on these issues and it is getting to the point where it just seems like everyone from the top down is giving the player base the big middle finger(sans Gina/Jessica/Sarah) regardless of how much we strive for this game to be great and keep coming back to subpar servers and functions. We deserve better and the team needs to show some accountability.

Edit: Paragraphs for my eyes, sorry about that.

To be fair, I gave up waiting the other day.

Whatever they do now will be too little and too late.

It's been about 5 days since I cancelled my sub and stopped playing. Saying goodbye to my guilds was tough. I played with a lot of them for years. I miss playing, but at the same time, I am not as stressed out as I would have been had I kept playing. Aside from some irl things going on, I feel somewhat happier now.

I have been slowly transitioning into another game but it's hard since my play time is limited by RL stuff. I too have made a lot of good friends in this game in the close to 6 years I have been playing but seeing my friends list have more people gone for greater than a month than who have been in game in the last month is a tell tale sign something is changing and it's not great.

Pretty sure Matt will not have anyone on his team comment about the GF system until and unless he feels they have something today. Just because it caused issues does not mean they want to communicate with us on the matter.

Look at how much they have communicated with us about the dismal performance of the game since the last launch. The pinned message concerning the activity finder is probably all we will for now.

I'm wondering if the Devs need to do a PTS Stress Test for the Battlegrounds. Groupfinder.

The improvements to the Dungeon Groupfinder seem fine, but we can run dungeons without Groupfinder. Not so much Battlegrounds.

The problem with stress testing on the PTS has always been the limited amount of traffic you actually get on the PTS. The casual player who has limited time to choose a game and play it isn't going to spend their time in a PTS cycle helping stress test. They are going to spend that time doing other things on Live servers. So the player base and stress will always be small/minimal at best.

Even if they did I doubt they would get sufficient players to test it.

I also wonder if both dungeon and BGs share the same system for their GF. It seemed to be the case before as both experienced the issues to equal degrees. It would have made sense for Zos to build it out this way originally since they do the same thing.

Edit: really just talking aloud. Zos would not give us this kind of information.

If it is just a matter of testing the BG, would they even need to stress test with real humans? I would think they could have a BOT party for testing the crashing.

    Dev silence to me is:

    1. They just don't have time to come to the forums and look for posts that want them to respond.
    2. They are very busy working on changes.
    3. They don't know what to say but, 'we messed something up'
    4. They feel answering a question won't be enough. Answer 1 question then players respond with 10 more questions.
    5. Or maybe they were told not to answer any questions

Is it that hard to understand that people can be disgusted at the game's mismanagement, yet still lurk the forums because they care about it and are still invested in it?

Alright peeps let's keep it a little civil. I understand I probably won't get an answer but I am not going to let the issue die so I am going to keep posting about this until we get something, so I would hate for the thread to be closed due to in-fighting.

I still remember the moment when they announced that they will improve group finder & build it again from scratch.
    I was like:
"Wow, we will finally have a proper group finder tool, supporting all type of ESO content ! Arenas & Trials ! Craglorn will live again ! "

I was so dumb, I should have known better... and now I am disappointed... :disappointed::'(

If you don't understand what is wrong with the original to fix it, then how can you code a new one to avoid the same problems.

The only response they’d be able to give is “Sorry guys(/s), we have no idea what we’re doing with our software but keep throwing money at our gambling boxes and P2Avoid-Problems-We-Made-for-You items until we maybe sort of fix it sometime in 2050”

If they had any idea how to make the funky outdated software workable, it would work by now. This dumpster fire is as good as it’s gonna get.

Or it isn't part of their job. ZoS has spokespeople in place to speak. They are the ones that would come to the forums. The OP mentioned they wanted to hear from someone other than the spokespeople. Not sure why. The gist of the message wouldn't change. The dev team works on the game the spokespeople act as a go between for ZoS and the players. I see no reason to ask the devs to do the spokespersons jobs any more than I think it would be reasonable to ask the spokespeople to troubleshoot code.
and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."

Neither ZOS, nor any other business, has an obligation to disclose this much information to customers. Transparency is not business communication. Business communication, like a structured novel, has a beginning, a middle, and an end. Acknowledge there is a problem, acknowledge the problem is being worked on, acknowledge that the problem has been solved. There doesn't need to be any behind the scenes commentary or hand-holding between those points.

Remember the PC-NA login issue on October 29? Can anyone remember the cause without looking up Gina's post? It's okay if you don't because it's no longer relevant information to remember. The important parts were that they acknowledged there was a problem, they worked on the problem, and they fixed the problem.

Some problems don't get resolved in a day. So yes, sometimes it can be harder to track the acknowledgement, the work, and the resolution. That's not poor communication. Poking and prodding for additional acknowledgements does not expedite the work already being done. I think that bears repeating.

Additional acknowledgements are not work. Work is work. Not all work can be communicated. So do not take silence as an absence of work.

There was an overview given in the announcement section earlier this month as you know. I do not expect them to give us more details on the matter, only to fix things. PC NA seems to be working well now in most things and the event was extended. I do not expect anything more here and do not need some lengthy official statement. Just saying, since OP made this thread “we, the community” rather than just posting what they would like or their grievances. :/
