Enjoy your new parses after a little practice 😉

Btw, I hated dummy humping til I hit over 30 on a 3mil, then it started to get fun watching the numbers climb as my roto got better. So practice your rotation and weaving in real combat, then come back to the dummy a couple weeks later.

Edit: Since the link appears broken, google “ How to Animation and Block Cancel on Consoles” and look for Deltia’s gaming video. It’s great, he even shows the controller and how to weave.

Weaving and cancelling are definitely doable on console. Just need to be consistent with what type skill is mapped to each button.

The only inconsistent one for me is barswap cancelling, but I think that's more my controller wearing out than anything.

People don't complain about weaving, they complain about AC with weaving. The issue is always AC, not using LA in a rotation.

The video explains animation cancelling. Not that hard to achieve once you understand what it is and how to do it.

This. I use gamepadUI on PC (which I think is more broken somehow) I can LA in between attacks just fine - if I want to take a full second for the LA. The game adds an extra delay to button pushes, so animation cancelling is the problem. Sometimes it works, but not reliuably enough to "get gud."

I just don't play with elitists who wouldn't understand that I'm using a controller because I physiclaly can't play with keyboard and mouse due to hand/wrist issues.

If you don't already have this and can drop a bit of cash, getting a controller with two extra buttons at the top was a game-changer for me. On a normal controller, the default for weapon swap is the left D-pad I think. Having to remove my left hand from the joystick to do that ended up being a pain, so with my fancy schmancy controller, I've mapped bar swap to the left second bumper. Along with mapping the potion button to the right second bumper, this has been life-changing.

Don’t spend money on expensive controllers. If you’re on PS4, this thing is just as good as an overpriced scuf controller: https://www.amazon.ca/Collective-Minds-Dominator-Controller-Adapter/dp/B01L8QHXJA

Light attacks are also hard on the controller's lifespan, at least on PS4. It makes you feel like ZOS has secretly a deal with Sony to sell more controllers. ;)

My wrists cramp up if I'm on KBM too long, too. I got used to using a controller for TES when I got Oblivion on my PS3 (then later with my 1st copy of Skyrim), and used one exclusively on Oblivion and Skyrim once I had a PC that would run those games. I'm just much more comfortable using a controller for more than a few minutes. Heck, I just had to take a minute break to type this message because my right wrist got crampy. Such are the joys of aging.
Taking stealth away from the Bosmer is like taking magic away from the Altmer, making Nords allergic to mead, or making Orcs pretty.

This I can LA between skills fine, but animation canceling just seems impossible because everything is a bit delayed. Then sometimes the game likes to eat your LA or skills, so they don't go off.

I'm doing just fine light attack weaving.
Animation canceling can be tricky though, with the bar swap and skill delay.
And of course, the ever present lag.

Doable, but tricky and often unreliable outside of our control.
Played on my friends PC account for a few minutes and felt like a God....the difference is suprising. (We have the same type of internet, proving it's not our connection.)

If I didn't have 5 years of investment on PS4, I'd switch to PC. Forget add-on's...the difference in combat alone was staggering.

It would be nice if zos created a function like combat metrics to allow console players to look at LAs/sec to analyze our AC. I’m not holding my breath though...
