Frequent "blue screening" is eso harming our ps4's?

Since the dragonhold update me and my friends have been experiencing multiple blue error screens while playing in cyrodiil. Last night my ps4 pro froze on the dashboard for the first time ever and became unresponsive resulting in me pulling the plug. This blue screening is making me concerned that its harming my ps4. Is this happening on xbox too with an equivalent error message? Its also highly frustrating as its supplemented by the mid fight load screens that havent been fixed for over a year now. It'd be good to get a response from a dev as this is a legitimate concern.

Your PS4 will probably be okay. If you need any reassurances: I live out in the woods. My power comes from a generator. Outages aren't particularly rare for me, and I've had many that have inappropriately shut my PS4 down. It's always been fine.

The only thing I'd be a little concerned about is the health of an external HDD, if you're using one. "Unplugging" the HDD (improper PS4 shut down counts) during certain processes can corrupt data or even brick the HDD. That being said, those circumstances are a lot rarer than you'd think (when data is being directly accessed; if you're not installing anything, you're fine), and my external HDD has been okay, too.

I don't know if you tried accessing your Quick Menu (hold down the PS button on the controller) when your dashboard froze. I was able to bring it up during a recent dashboard freeze (said freeze was related to the recent retooling Sony did to party chat).

I’ve had three blue-screen crashes since the patch (a report sent in for the ones that didn’t lock up the system), as opposed to none for the six months prior. It shouldn’t harm your PS4, though it certainly is annoying.

Are you even serious?! I've had 3 crashes within just a half and hour. I've lost count. It's likely been over 50 just with Dragonhold patch. I'm sure it's been 100+ crashes with the past few months alone. Ffing crying shame. With every patches/updates, there are always issues, and fixes doesn't come until weeks or months later (if even.) :s Same shitt, different month.

Love the NPC animals standing on top of the cages, instead of inside, though. Also the enemy adds walking over on top of the dolmens, instead of around. ha ha

Yes corrupted data and hard drive head crashes can be caused by software malfunctions both on PC and console.
One should never just "pull the plug", use the prompts in the blue screen to exit and restart.
I am receiving a ridiculous amount of blue screens on PS4 as well but they all have a report and exit prompt.

Yes if you have to pull the plug on your console there is a chance it's getting damaged. Couple of years ago my PS4 locked up and froze completely after a blue screen and I had to send it away for repair.

If the system has time to actually display an error message everything will be fine with the hardware.
    Unless...
The hardware itself is causing the bluescreen.

If a system has time to actually react, halt, and display an error then a whole huge array of things in the background successfully happened and the system safely halted. You worry about things like head crashes and power spikes when the system goes from 100% load to off without ANY part of it knowing the halt was going to happen.

This doesn't mean the hardware is good. Often gentle degradation causes more frequent crashing as the parts are no longer in expected tolerance.

I want it to leave me at where I was traveling to before it blue screened rather than leaving me where I was. I hate the blue screens, but at least finish the direction I was headed. (They usually come when going from wayshrine to another for me.)

This is why they are console players, they aren't smart enough to understand the difference lol
