Abilities with Casttime interrupted but no CC immunity?

I tried if abilities like Dark Conversion can be interrupted while the Shield Ultimate is up and they can be interrupted. If they are interrupted while my Shield Ultimate is up I do not receive CC immunity though like you usally would if you are interrupted. Is this intended or is it a bug?
