I just did a dungeon with the tank wearing a cool backpack - ive been away for a while.
is that a costume or crown item?

I would imagine it is the treasure hunter costume as well. Only thing I recall with a pack.

Crown store Pretty sure.

There's another similar one coming, I think I saw it in the showcase.
They are nice but backpack interferes with bow or other two-handed weapons.

The Merchant costume has a pack too - like what's her name wears when you see her near Hakoshae.

The treasure hunter costume is located in a halloween crown crate. IT came back for a short time but will only resurface next year probably.

tough it would be nice if the backpack doesnt clip through shields and staves ruins all immersion for me

It's called Traveling Merchant IIRC (as I'm not in game now sorry), and it was on the crown store right after either Northern Elsweyr release (or maybe right after Scalebreaker though I've had it a while now).

@StackonClown There is a costume in the store as of now called Dungeon Explorer. It is quite nice and also has a backpack.

High Rock Spellsword sort of has a backpack-- it's like a banana bag or long bag hanging diagonally across the back
Fisherfolk Work Wear has a fishing trap basket as sort of a backpack
