Question about the new Pig Pet

Just buying it increases my inventory, or does it have to be active all the time?

I don't like pets (video game ones) but I wouldn't mind buying this one if I don't have to use it all the time for extra space.

The pig does not need to be and activate non-combat pet. Think of it like getting 5 extra a slots for every toon for 1200 crowns, the pig is just extra.

Only 5 for 1200, meh, I guess if you already have max but not worth it, better creating a pack mule

I have 12 toons, that pig gets me 60 extra slots. Well worth it max you can get right now is 16 toons, meaning the pig can give you 80 extra slots. That is 40% of a fully leveled toon. And for someone like me, who doesn't sub, this is huge.

I do think it's a good deal if you struggle with inventory on your alts, esp. if they are just storage mules. But I'd rather have more storage chests/coffers, as I play all my alts and so they always have plenty of room in their inventory when they adventure. So, I'm passing on this, since the storage solution I prefer is additional chests/coffers or bank space.

Unfortunately, it will not be the only pet that ZOS sells with that "bonus", the next one will have another 5 slots, and so...

several pets would be a considerable space.

It's not a pig! It's a battle boar! Well, even though it's a non-combat pet; but, it should be combat fighting boar, dammit. Ehh, nothing much for me with the extra 5 inventory slots. Although, I prefer one with a couple rocket launchers strapped to each side and a .50 cal MaDeuce or Javelin on top; actually, this "battle boar" is perfect as a pet for one of my characters. In mythology, this warrior goddess is often seen with a boar at her side. So, this is perfect for my warrior goddess toon. Thank you, ZOS; even though, damn, it's one expensive arse non-combat pet. Now, just need a raven for one of my other warrior toon. Can you guys make a cool looking raven for a non-combat pet, please..

165, all characters get +5 slots.

165. Each character gets 5 slots. So you will get 40 additional on your account but only 5 per character.

It is not something that will make or break anyone's inventory but is nice overall in a small way.

He’s definitely too stocky and heavy to be a boar. Boars tend to be leaner and taller.

Bristleneck looks like it could be a cross breed between a Kune Kune and a boar!

You need to get pass this. It's common knowledge that crown store is top priority.

Any pictures for size comparisons? I can’t tell if it’s as small as the bs Craglorn Welwa they had or if it’s as big as the original guar pets. It’d better be closer to pony size, bigger than the Psijic domino pig....

Bah, add a couple of more chests...I'd love 2 more 60 slot chests and 2 more 30 slots...5 extra on a character is nice, but not super helpful since they are spread across all 12 of my toons.

Good if you have lots of mules, otherwise 5 extra space of unused space on characters that rarely hit the max limit on short play sessions doesn't really add anything.

If I want mule space, right now I can spend $10 buy the standard edition on a 2nd account and offload into 8 mules + 240 bank space.

Boar is good only for one thing - barbecue. I certainly don't need any more slots.
