I don’t understand how this works. I have to watch 5 minutes of their YouTube videos? Is it only twitch videos? That has to be live streamed? Can it be older videos? What about their videos of other games? I really don’t understand twitch.

Yup! I watched about 15 minutes of a single stream and I received a crate today. I actually received an email notifying me that one is available in game for me to open. ESO should elucidate upon any requirements like watch duration...It's a bit confusing. You do need to distinguish between streams with crate drops enabled, I think. It's underneath the screen in the description.

I don’t recall watching twitch in years but I got a twitch reward I noticed yesterday. Truthfully I might have gotten it 3 years ago but I only just noticed it. I’m on XBox.

My question is once you've watched a drops enabled Twitch stream (during the time frame ZOS laid out on their website), where do you get notification of a Twitch drop being sent to your ESO account? Is that via email, in-game, both? I am only a casual Twitch user (yes I have an account) so not really sure how this is designed to work for Xbox/PS4 players.

I had twitch on for over 18 hours yesterday and got no drop... and yes I'm linked, and yes the streams also said "Drops enabled"

I never received any notification. You have to wait until the drops are sent out (click on the event in the calendar at the bottom of this page, the dates and times next to the crate symbol are when drops are delivered) then log in to the game and check the crown crates tab.

Just out curiosity, when you got to account on this website, does it show your PSN as being linked? I think that may be my problem... for me it shows no PSN link, and when I try to link I get an error.

Yes, both my PSN account and Twitch account are linked.

Thank for answering! Support helped me get sorted and my PSN link is fixed. I guess I'll be down one crate, but fingers crossed for tomorrow

Actually I was wrong, I did receive an email notification. I forgot about those, but I received one now.

Congratulations! You've received an Ouroboros Crown Crate as a Twitch Drop. You can access your new crate from the Crown Crates menu in game. To earn additional rewards, keep watching drop-enabled ESO streams on Twitch!

There seems to be a problem with Twitch drops on consoles
IF the ESO account once migrated to console from PC.[

I once started playing ESO on PC and later officially migrated my account to PS4 when this option was available on PS4 release. Today, after linking my Twitch account to my ESO account and watching a Twitch stream, I indeed received an email from ZOS about getting an Ouroboros Crown Crate, telling me to find the crate after login to in game. However, after login on PS4, I found no Crown Crate at all. Therefore, I assume the crate was assigned to my old PC account which I did not use for years. As a workaround, I tried redeeming the code that also was given in the email on PS4, but I was told I could not use this code.

ZOS, how are we supposed to get the crate on a migrated PS4 account
if the old (an unused) PC account probably still exists?

[EDIT]: The problem is gone - I now receive the Ouroboros Crates on PS4.

Good for you! But I'm giving up on Twitch and Twitch drops. A couple of months ago I watched ESO streamers on a Twitch drop weekend. The first day I got a drop. The rest of the days... nothing. This week I watched a couple of streamers. None of them were even playing the game, they were just lounging their characters on fountains or having them dance on pedestals. "We're going to get back to dragon hunting really soon," but that never happened, just chatting with their audience. I watched for over 20 minutes, even followed one guy. The next day, no drop, even though they were channels listed on the ESO webpage and at least one-- the one I watched the longest and that I followed-- even said that drops were enabled. And yes, I went to my account page on the ESO website and checked my linked accounts before watching anything on Twitch, and it showed Twitch as one of my linked accounts. I have too much other stuff to get aggravated over than wasting time on doing something that I'm expecting a reward for, only to get no reward. Pointless, so you'll find me playing the game instead.

I'm giving it one more try today, and tomorrow will tell if it's working for me (PC). Apparently I was watching in offline mode, in which case if that was it, it was on me I guess, although I don't remember switching from online to offline.
