What is stamdk supposed to be?

I really love DK especially the stamdk in pvp but i start to think why i should ever play a stamdk in a group or even solo.

Dk has the feels of being a really strong tanky class to always be in the Front lines. To be a rock in the enemy lines (earthen Heart duh) but looking at other classes dk comes with one of the weakest damage mitigations....

Classes that get more damage mitigation then dk:

Nightblade: Relentless focus (10%), Minor protection (8%), Major Evasion (25% to aoe) and Minor Ward

Warden: Major and Minor Protection and 500 Resist for each Winters Embrace skill slotted.

Templar: Minor Protection (8%), 2640 Spell Resist and 2640 additional Resist when standing in their Rune

Necromancer: Spirit Guardian (10%), Deaden Pain (3%) + Major Protection (30%), Minor Protection (8%) from Totem, 10% damage reduction from damage over time and more max health.

What has DK? 10% more mitigation from blocking, 3300 spell resist, 50% damage mitigation from projectiles and corrosive armor to limit all damage to 3% of max health (with high Health this is actually still a lot of incoming damage)

So comparing DK to Nightblades and Necros feels so weak. It doesnt even feel like a class that is supposed to be a tank in its main role. While i can go Orc on Necro and Nightblade i need Nord on DK and i am still not as tanky as Nightblade or necro.....

Stamdk needs a lot of buffs and not a clunky ranged spammable where i throw glowing lava poo on my targets. We need more tankyness and better sustain passives. Atm DK is at one of the last spots when its comes to stamina playstyle and group utility.
