Hey everyone,

It looks like ZOS are really struggling financially, otherwise surely they would have commissioned a reliable server for PC EU by now.

Let's all chip in and dig deep in our pockets to help them out of this mess. We can also help them get a couple extra coders to fix the long outstanding bugs.

Thanks!

Wonderful idea but sadly since I'm a student my last money was spent on Eso+ and it's a waste because I can't long in or have endless loadingscreens since Dragonhold launched. The patch needs to go back to Pts and get deleted on live, it's not ready!

As a student you should devote time and attention to gaining knowledge of an academic subjects that you are studying, especially by means of books and not spend your time on ESO with ESO+ on top of that!

I'm just kidding, do the F you want

No thanks, they need competant Sysadmins by the looks of things.

The servers are probably alright PEBCAK

    Let's not.

How about ZoS get their hand in their pocket and dip into the billions of dough they've made from the crown store.

Let's not. Their problem isn't financially. As a subsidiary of Zenimax Media they have millions. Perhaps more than they actually need. Their problem is the same problem a 17 year old might have struggling when facing life alone for the 1st time. Priorities, ZO$ need to get their priorities straightened out.

Their top priority is not the game. Is (wait for it...) making more money. By heavily monetizing an already very monetized game forgetting about issues that still haunt the game since day one. Until they face important matters first. They will continue to fail at making the game stable.

But since they still making money off it they don't care. Think its about time we cut the hose feeding these over-fattened walruses, see if that gets them to think and prioritize straight

Seems to be running OK on the US servers.

They should sell another limited time event house or lootboxes with unique stuff. Fun.

I have eso plus and bought the expansions I am already contributing enought, if they have financial problems they will have to milk other players.

I think they make enought money but they think that puting a new server or improving it will not be cost effective given the lifespan of the game. That they try to skimp some money.
Edit: I know the post is intended in an humorous way but I am starting to be fed up with this.

I very much doubt your premise. The game is making money, enough of it that they are still coming up with year-long content releases and performance improvement plans. The fact is, they're cheap. Their goal is to squeeze every last penny out of players for as long as they can, then if it comes to that turn off the lights and move on to a new scheme.

Again, because it still hasn't sunk with some people: this is what you get with microtransactions. Don't want to pay a sub to pay for ongoing maintenance and development of a game you enjoy? Then you will get milked for everything you have, end up paying more, and get a worse game for it. Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. "it doesn't have to be bad", "it's just cosmetic" and "at least it's not P2W".

Funny, as I read the OP as ironic and meant as humorous, but I must be mistaken given all of the incredibly serious replies....

As to the state of the EU server, meh. It's Wednesday, tomorrow it will be Thursday....

Pretty sure many of us have been part of funding new servers many times over.

Considering problems with the server started in earnest over half a year ago and I think are even worse now I have to question the competence of management at this point.

Yea, I know the thread is intended as tongue and cheek. It is funny.

Strongly doubt any of the issues are hardware related.

    edit
We'll be bringing PC EU offline for maintenance today, November 6 at 9:00am EST to address a hardware issue preventing players from logging in. We expect downtime to be approximately 1-2 hours.

It appears I am mistaken :#

When a company can afford to spend US$5 million at the very least to air a 30 second advertisement for Morrowind, it says a lot about their "financial struggles".

Having the finances and not willing to invest, is not the same as "struggling".
mDKs still need a lot of love!

In all seriousness I agree, usually its the people in control of the hardware that is the issue.

But my point stands, for a very profitable company they cannot seem to find the solution to put this right. It's been an issue for years - I am sure if the reliability of their internal systems was an issue it would have been sorted out within a couple of month's at worst.
