StamNB: not fit even for questing?

Well. My StamNB sure isn't what it used to be. Maybe it just grew old? What's the expected lifetime of a Khajiit?

No. But seriously. I've almost quit PVE, because I can't be a**ed with farming what I need to change my few PVE toons. I have no friends playing PVE anymore, and I can't take farming gear with randoms. But for like overland stuff, and vet dungeons/some vet DLC ones, it works perfectly well. It's just not "competitive" anymore, nor do I think it will ever be again.

I made a Khajiit stamina nightblade, lvl 810cp, I am using Hundigs + Briar + Velidreth and still cant pull more than 18k in the 6 million dummy (non trial, without synergies). Dont know why but I feel that I cant pull even 1k more than that, when in my magsorc I pull easily 40k in the trial dummy and 30k in the non-trial one.

Main is Khajiit stamblade and he’s doing fine. Done quite a few vet trials on him, and always do quests first time on him.

The only small thing I have to do is slot a decent self heal when questing on back bar to use in emergency. But rarely use unless fighting a dragon or some such.

So not sure what OP is doing to die to crocs. Just check cp, swap around some skills and make sure you have glyphs for health perhaps?

Sure:

dw bar
shrouded daggers, killer's blade, relentless focus, plus anything you like, I have Resolving vigor which I rarely use, and Blood craze but for these two slots, really use what you like, maybe Bloodthirst if you need more health, or Path of life or anything.

poison injection, arrow barrage, leeching strikes, draining shot (I wear blackrose bow for roaming) plus anything you like, in my case it is Dark shade, but Acid spray works also good, or another group dot.

There is no real rotation, just go Arrow barrage, and Poison arrow if there is a strong mob, swap, Shrouded daggers until the execution phase and finish them with Killer's blade which also returns health. If you like the knockback, or feel pressed, use Draining shot on a bow bar once you need to reapply barrage (unlikely).

Khajit StamNB was my first char and same as your reasons, I had to stop playing. StamNB was really weak on overland and dungeons. I dont know how is now but at 2017, it was unplayable even for questing and ordinary dungeons.

wtf , NEVER say that something is unplayable for questing, u can do quests/overland content with every class, every race every weapon, same goes for normal dung, and if u just adjust ur build a bit and gear u can also do vet dung and complete vet trials, u literally need no special things to just complete content

What I found to be easiest:

Phantasmal Escape and/or Evasion to buff beforehand-> Arrow barrage from distance -> Ambush to approach -> Mass hysteria to stun -> Steel tornado spam and more spam

Can do some blood craze if low on health

Works wonders

It seems to me that it is likely you are doing something wrong. Because I am not an elite player, but my own stamblade has little to no problems with overland content. He wears Relequen, Briarheart, Stonfirst.

With that said, he is certainly one of my squishiest characters and can struggle in more difficult content.

no, honey, it is NOT a troll. people do indeed struggle with questing, and stamblade is notoriously the squishiest class of all classes, when played as recommended by meta guides that are meant to apply to group play that comes with all kinds of support so being glass canon is not detrimental for personal fun times.

every other class (well for me magblade started to feel about as squishy as stam lately though) is far more forgiving when it comes to imperfect play. every other class does NOT require that you pvp to get a reliable heal and instead comes with options other then trickledown heals on hit - within its class abilities. nighblades? have very little margin for error. sure they can perform VERY well when played by good, experienced players, but for a good number of us, they are just... not so awesome. and I say that as someone who stubbornly sticks to nightblade as my questing character for roleplay reasons.

No, it is not a troll post. Lvl 41 now, and changes I made are for good. My Khajiit is good enough. I'm able to kill a delve boss without any problems. Next challenge is solo public dungeons. But I will try that only after leveling to max and putting on the proper gear.

Look at the skills you're using, the order and your rotation. Also is all your gear gold with proper enchants? Are using weapon damage potions?

My stamblade uses relequin, briarheat and veledreth. I pull over 37K on the 6M and 55-60K normally (highest was 62K) on the 21 M.

Stamnb is probably the most resistant stamclass in the game. Pop merciless resolve, 5 light attacks and don't use the skill. Refresh when it expires and you should not need that much being.

I feel like stamsorc was the toughest pve class as all you needed was crit surge and hurricane to keep you alive but now, stamblade is pretty tough. You can4use Dark Cloak instead of vigor in the meantime. Not too bad of a heal.

Curious.

I can solo some (obviously not all) vet dungeons with my stamblade, even gotten some no death and hard mode achievements solo. Granted, you're going to have to give up some DPS to survive, but stamina nightblade is most definitely not a gimpy class.

Found the problem.

The thing about ESO is, progression is much more about personal skill than simple stat progression. This is especially true post CP160.

Low level characters have some significant statistical bonuses to help you have an easier time, but if you're grinding away without learning your class and role you're not not going to be improving (much.) Especially not if you're paying for carries.

Overland mobs shouldn't even be a speedbump to Stamblade.

Check and see if your race skill points are assigned. I don't remember the last time an update reset them but it might be in that six month time frame. I had hell on a couple of characters I hadn't played for a while because race points were not assigned.
