Do I understand this correctly? Another free-play event? With the server issues?

Hi guys - I am wondering if I am having reading comprehension problems.

Aren't there a ton of issues on the EU server at the moment? Or are they resolved?

Free-play event starting Nov 6 for one week for people to log on. Does not really make sense to me...

Not only that, there is no hide or tell about drops on twitch, or anything else to acompany it- other then 'free to play, we need an influx asap'.

Maybe they purchased more slots in data-center, which will go live at the event, and we are going for a test drive.

There wont be any problems anymore - the server was upgraded! It has now 16 times the details than before and just works!

I’m not sure why you guys are having such issues. I can stream the game and show you that the game is working as intended. Unless you’re EU in that case. Sorry bruv.

Why do I feel like this is like throwing gasoline on a fire we already have some login problems with this patch and have the Unduaunted event starting on the 11th also for console Dragonhold drops tomarrow with the free play event happening the day after that bad time for a free play event....

In before close... but they really need to do something - the lag is horrible. I played for almost 3 years on data. Now I have great internet but the freezing, skipping, jumping is worse than ever. I use to love this game it was fun, now I can’t enjoy it because performance is so bad.

Khajiit she cannot hide her worries here. This is a concern. Of course we want new kittens but at the risk of losing our festival week we got to make up for the lost festival week?

Will we get another week if the Tamriel World Hamster gets sick again? This one has none of the new recipes so far and a pitiful few of the writs, despite sending out Winkworth Claws to gather skulls as often as his very advanced age permits.

This will be a great opportunity to slow down the influx of new players, which will help with the server issues in the end. /s

What will happen when new players download ESO and try it during the free play week:
"WTF is this crap, its impossible to log in... what a waste of time, good thing I didn't pay for this pile of garbage!"

Clearly Free Play week was pencilled in months ago, to immediately follow the Witches Festival, and the launch of Dragonhold on consoles, when exhausted players would take a bit of a break, thus leaving space for new freeloaders.

It reinforces the sense that ZOS have overfilled their calendar with Releases, Events and Promos, leaving almost no time for development, testing, reviewing and correcting the issues around the game. Clearly marketing trumps maintenance every time.

The Freebooter week should have coincided with a slight drop in PC player numbers as players either finished Dragonhold or took a rest after the Witches Festival. Instead it will coincide with an *** of skull seeking as players try to max out their Witches booty before the event (and possibly the server) comes crashing down.

It's typical vague wording, but new accounts only get the 500 crowns if they buy the game as well.

From the support site:

As a new player
If you are a new player, you are given a one-time gift of 500 crowns for buying the game and creating a game account.

This one thinks back to last time and thinks there was perhaps a 30 day period between creating your account and being able to gift things through the store. Or something like that.
