Lucky Cat Inn

How on earth can this house have the same item max as the exorcised witches cottage? Lucky cat consists of much more than a thatched hut on a piece of swampland?

This is old news and has been discussed quite a bit. The problem is the variety of sizes of homes within a category. Ald Velothi Harbor House and Velothi Reverie are also medium homes (200/400 slots) and are pretty close to the same size as Lucky Cat. And yes, my spouse measured VR and LC, and LC was only slightly larger. In fact, the entire interior of LC is the same size as VR exterior.

It's unfortunate that while there are a variety of sizes within a category, and gold/crown prices reflect these relative sizes, they all get the same item limit.

I realize it's old news and that it has been discussed but i jumped over to the witches cottage and was amazed it had the same limit.

Yeah...that one's a bit of a puzzle, as the gold cost for that home is in the mid-range of medium homes, but it's really much closer to the size of the Ample Domicile, which is quite a bit cheaper.

Sorry for not understanding that your post was more about the size of the Cottage and less about Lucky Cat.

But, it's still frustrating that they provide a variety of sizes/options within each category, but they all get the same limit. Some are easily decorated within that limit, while others are rather difficult.

Because at the end they decided to put it in the Medium size category with price range.
So basically the price range dictate the furnishing size category not fully the looks.

Coven cottage is 200/400 price range same as Lucky Cat.

    For example:
Cliffshade is medium with the corresponding price range of 3,600 and 200/400, but then you have the Dawnshadow which is practically the same size and almost the same looking both from inside and the outside, but it is put in Large house category with 300/600* and the corresponding large size category price range of 6,200

So the the looks are not the main category here. Following that logic, to feed your ego a bit, you can buy a medim house that looks like a large house and for a half a price, but negative effect will be smaller furnishing space.

    Edit:
    *Dawnshadow is 300/600

Further more, you have the Forsaken Stronghold which looks practically double the size of the Dawnshadow, but both are in the same furnishing size of 300/600 with the same price range of 6.5 K.
So you see the logic here is that you have the option to chose the size looks, but within the same furnishing category and price range.
Someone likes smaller cozy homes but with more slots to put junk in, and someone stuff like Forsaken Stronghold witch will look a bit "emptish" regarding the furniture but more spacious.

Agreed! I wish the item limits on all three were increased to 250/500 at least. :/ Alternatively, I’d love the option to be able to purchase more item slots for homes — like 50/100 slots that can be added to any home, even an inn, so long as it doesn’t already have 350/700 slots.

Because that swampland hut should have been a Small house imo.
Zo$ excuse; to give players more item slots to build things from scratch.
My 2 cents; so Zo$ could ask more crowns for it.

@RefLiberty, comparing Cliffshade and Dawnshadows isnt the best idea because Dawnshadow has a garden, Cliffshade does not.

@ErinM31, I would love to see a 250/500 catagory for large Medium and small Large houses
And a 150/300 catagory for large Small and small Medium houses

@dagrdagaz_5912 Agreed on most counts, although I will never complain about a house having “too many” item slots as that just gives more options for doing exactly what you want and no worry about efficiency — like Snugpod with it’s 100/200 item cap, I can splurge and put a candle in a cup instead of relegating myself to one-item light sources, etc. If item number is tied to price (although clearly not with the enormous notables, but I digress), an option which could please everyone would be to make item limits expandable (so long as 400 + 100 item slots didn’t cost more than a house that originally came with 600 item slots or something ridiculous).

What many of you may not realize is you can build UP in coven. Very very very high.
