✭✭✭✭You don’t have to use the group finder to do dungeons, trials or arenas or, indeed, any Witches Festival content. You can simply form your own group and enter them yourself. I would imagine zone chat will be full of lfg requests.
Which is good as the group finder has been disabled. Presumably as a last gasp, Hail Mary stopgap solution to try to reduce server load.
That this is the ‘solution’ is a bit of a damning indictment of ZOS’s backstage work over the last 12 months as it effectively puts them back to exactly the same situation they had a year ago following the failure of the group finder during the Undaunted celebrations.
It’s bad news particularly for BG players, who really can’t access their content at all without the group finder. That does suck if BGs are your thing.8 -

✭The one thing I do daily is random dungeon on alts or do carries for friends because it is a double xp event, and you get plenty of skulls while doing it.
Do not simply dismiss not having the group finder, some players have been looking forward for double xp daily random dungeons.6 -

Considering there have been issues with the LFG and events in general for AT LEAST the last 3 years, I am not keen to believe "fix" is in the actual representation here, at all. The "fix" will just work itself out due to lower traffic and players not logging in, etc without any real intervention---yeah, that's harsh but at this point it feels completely true. There is obviously a problem under load with this game that they don't know how to fix, only band-aid it.
Also, this post from 2018 from Rich Lambert himself saying they wouldn't hold another in-game event that requires the Activity Finder until they were 100% confident that the tool can support it. Well, here we are a year later in 2019, and it's even worse.

The answer to Rich Lambert's promise was very simple:
Rewrite the events so they don't "require" Groupfinder.
The Undaunted event is a perfect example:
First time, rewards were tied to doing random dungeons. It was a disaster.
Second time, rewards were tied to doing any dungeon. Sure, most players wanted to use groupfinder, and so it was a disaster, but technically it wasn't a requirement.
Meanwhile, the only event to actually require Groupfinder - Midyear Mayhem - got cancelled this year.0 -

And yes this would obviously also reduce revenue but this was not in their document
That I don't understand is why dungeon and BG finder is connected at all.
Yes they might share some code but should be totally independent.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
