How does Armor rating function in relation to Physical and Spell Resistances?

Camdan8504
I had been wearing Fortified Brass to start my tank off with vet dungeons since it offered an easy way to get my toon up to the resistance caps. While gathering the actual armor sets I'm going to use, I noticed the armor pieces with spell/physical resistances had those stats swapped with additional armor. Is there a computational value to determine how much resistance armor yields? I've been searching and seem to be missing it.

I think it's just a 1:1 split between phys and spell, for the time being. So 1487 Armor ends up being both 1487 Physical Resist, and 1487 Spell Resist. So two bonuses of 1487 Armor would numerically give the same as the old 2975 Physical Resist & 2975 Spell Resist.

Armor is Physical and Spell Resistance combined. It's the same stat that's on every piece of armor. So 100 armor = 100 Physical and Spell Resistance.
