The add-on starts off fine, but if you try to interact with the ui nothing happens and you get a long error about calling an insecure function. Is there any replacement for this? The add-on has not been updated since 2018.

Baertram✭✭✭✭✭ZOs needs to fix some inventory:UpdateList functions.
As long as they do not fix this ALL of the addons will break the game and throw "...insecure" error messages!
So we will have to wait and it does not make any sense to change addons over and over again or ask for fixes at the addons. It's clearly Zos task here, so just wait and it will get fixed.
If not, one can have a look after they have done their steps.0
