Summerset needed? (solved, Thank You!)

seveneighttwoub17_ESO
I've been gone quite some time and purchased everything up to and including Morrowind including the DLCs. Apparently I was gone when Summerset launched though, and now there's Elsweyr. I note that the Standard and CE full game editions include Morrorwind and Summerset, but the upgrades do not. I guess I'm curious if I need Summerset, and if so is there a way to get the Summerset content without buying Elsweyr yet or is it just more cost effective to purchase the full game edition of Elsweyr ...Will I even be allowed to get the full edition as I've already got base game and Morrowind?

Summerset unlocks access to the Psijic Skill line. If you think you need that then yes its needed. Otherwise i dont know what your definition of need is.

Summerset is also the conclusion of the Daedric War storyline started in Morrowind.

It’s also needed if you want to be certified in Jewelry crafting. And I quite enjoy Summerset.

Thanks. Mostly, I think I probably do need it as I'm a bit of a collector and my collection won't feel complete without it. I guess my real question is:

When I purchased Morrowind, I was not given the option to purchase the "full game" only the upgrade. If I buy the Elsweyr upgrade though, I do not get Summerset. Do I have to purchase the full game and start a new account in order to get both Summerset and Elsweyr added to my account or have they "Fixed" the thing that kept you from buying the full game edition if you already had base game?

Summerset is useful for Psijic skill line.
And for healers for olorime gear.
Imo the summerset dlc is the best story ESO has made so far
Elsweyr is a big meh but this is my opinion.

If you have the money in game you can purchase crowns and buy summerset.
Watch out for scammers tho this is not regulated by ZOS.

If you buy the full edition you will get a new game new account etc.

If you are into good story lines Summerset is one of the best zones added to the game.

Summerset - Psijic Skill line / Jewelry crafting / Cloudrest Trial / New Sets

Elsweyr - Necromancer Class / Dragons / Sunspire Trial / New Sets / and lots of Khajiit

    Hope this helps :)

@seveneighttwoub17_ESO One thing I've not seen mentioned.
When Elsweyr came out Summerset became a DLC, so you can buy it in the Crown store and if you have (or plan to have) ESO+ you'll have access to it through that.

you can access summerset with eso plus. for psijic skill line..well..

ultimate doesnt work half time. there is deep thoughts (usually for tanking some content) and channel acceleration/rat for crit/snare immunity for magicka characters. but very grindy and boring.

jewelries are very expensive and researching is long.

for elsweyr. necromancer is kinda like warden. clunky and weird. plus buggy. doesnt feel that fun to me.

you can buy cheap keys too. thats how i do it, otherwise this isnt sustainable.

ESO+ gives you access to DLC, not chapters. Regarding jewelry crafting, basic crafting and writs are not at all expensive. Upgrading jewelry does seem to be more costly than armor and weapons though. As for the skill line itself, I found it much quicker to level than enchanting but not as fast as carpentry, blacksmith and clothier as loot to decon isn’t as plentiful.

As @kwando mentioned, I believe chapters can be purchased through the Crown Store. I don’t know whether this would be the most cost-effective way to get both Summerset and Elsweyr, but I believe it is an option. :)

Thanks to you all. I hadn't realized it have it because of ESO + I'm glad to see that there are several options to get missed content after its not current anymore. You all rock. *hugs*

Yeah, they changed that with Summerset. Old chapters are rolled over to DLC when the new chapter drops. You don't get the classes. So, if you didn't have Morrowind, you would need to buy the Warden unlock in the store. But, for Summerset, you get everything with ESO+.
