Poor Optimization

Just switched from an i5-4670k GTX 1050 Ti to a Ryzen 7 2700x RTX 2080 and still only get an average of 30-50 FPS. WTF is up with that?

CPU matters more than GPU for ESO and for most other MMOs. You should have gone with Intel. Your Ryzen isnt any better than your old i5 for gaming. AMD only good for video editing and benchmarking lol. You need high clockspeed not core count for most games.

Is that accurate? I know voxels games use the processor more but MMORPG's have always been more graphics card based.

I run an intel i9 9900k with 32g vendor approved ram for XMP. Depending on usage I either clock it at 5g all cores, or 4.7 (I built the PC for work so I need stability when working). I have an RTX 2080. I run games at 1920x1200 and I have been seeing FPS drops as low as high 30's and that is when all my settings are not even maxed. During the dragon event, when using the wayshrine I would often dip down to 5-10 fps.

I can run wow with everything maxed and never get below 70 FPS. In a voxel building game I had to spawn 90 large spaceships with high poly counts to get my FPS to drop below 30.

The game is definitely not optimized.

I has to turn off shadows, water reflection, grass and ambient occlusion to be able to see a steady 60 fps inside a house. This is the only game i’ve played that has such horrible performance all the time, Im already used to getting bashed out of the dungeon. 15 FPS on Cyrodiil plus the constant loading screens . At least today i managed to see 59 on imperial city and that was a surprise.

The game really needs a buff on the performance side.
